I agree that I would want England to beat France even if they had Anelka in the team. BUT club comes before country! I could hardly give a shit about England, I want them to do well yes, but I'm not that arsed if we don't. But with Bolton, if we lose I am pissed off for a long time after, and if we win I am happy for a long time after. It's just my opinion but for me Club is far more important to me than country.

I do agree with you to an extent. I want any country with Wanderers players involved to win and refuse to cheer anything the likes of Rooney, Neville, Brown, Ferdinand etc may be involved in.

But during a tournament, the Englishness in me creeps out and I can't help but be patriotic.

 

All said, Utd fans want their heads reading for chanting "Argentina", putting up Croatia flags, stupid songs about Ronaldo making England look sh1te and Slaven Bilic is a red he hates England.

I'll always support England, but it is a bit difficult cheering on players who are picked just because they play for the scum or the red sh?te.

For Bolton to win something major, it would probably mean a takeover by some Yank billionaire.

 

I'd rather have England win the World Cup.

Whilst not fully agreeing with Proper White, I can sympathise with where he is coming from. I really couldn't give a flying shite about the national game (I've been that way for many years - not just a fickle boo-boy) and whilst I doubt I would ever 'support' another country against England, I would find a great amount of satisfaction watching any of our current squad players knocking a few in against England. As for Bolton making a major achievement over England. He's got my vote without a moments hesitation.
