Belgrade Lions

Credit where credit is due, that was a top effort from the shadow squad, full of passion effort and no little quality in a very hostile atmosphere the lads could easily have wilted, I have previously slated Mcann but yesterday I thought he was superb, also Hunt, meite, michalik Wilhelmson and stelios were excellent, well done.

well said pablo =D> I must also applaud the loyal fans that went to a place that football fans should not have to visit, well done to these true Boltonians and Wanderers fans you are a credit to the club and town, I wish we had more like you. :good:

Brings a tear to my eye this thread :good:

On a serious note, well done lads, fantastic result!! The fans who travelled are pretty brave and sure they enjoyed the game. Heard them from time to time on the radio between the chants of the locals. Well done!!

should not have to visit. ?

why ?

should not have to visit. ?

why ?

the fact that fans have to be locked away in a hotel prior to the match for their own safety, springs to mind.

go onto real football factories on you tube and search belgrade fans, watch that heathen scum perform and then tell me why.

If it wasn't for the league position and declining crowds, this might just have been seen as our most momentous month ever - in the space of four weeks we have been deservedly undefeated against three different European Cup winners! And we only have one defeat in 14 European games!

! And we only have one defeat in 14 European games!

its more than that because we didn't get beat in the anglo italian neither.

It really is unbelievable that despite this fantastic record, we cannot get the fans back on board, let us hope that this will change and the bolton public get behind the team because that could be the difference between bolton staying up and further cementing ourselves in the premier league and a rapid decline down the leagues.

Bravo 2 now, real football factory.

actually deciding to go was the only thing that took any bollocks

we only got into belgrade about 3 ish and from evading the cops to escape the slavja (more on that shitehole to follow) to geting back to the hotel at midnight there wasn't a hint of trouble

everybody can say what they want about the serbian coppers, but the ones we met, and there were plenty, knew their jobs and put arrogant british plod to shame

i never felt anything but safe in belgrade

oh aye, n budapest on wednesady night is the bollocks

Perhaps the problem is everyone just bored with the Premier League? Greedy over paid players, soulless stadiums, far too expensive, too much on TV, etc. But agree, just one defeat in 14 EUFA games is a fantastic record that deserves to be better known.
