I for one will respect the silence. Deaths in football should no matter who they are

England play Switzerland on Feb 6th at Wembley, 50 years to the day since the Munich air disaster.

 

There are already plans in place to honor the victims. Will it be a dignified minutes' silence? I doubt it.

Twas only a suggestion, I wouldn't clap, I'd be a sit downer. I don't agree with the commemoration and so was just thinking of a dignified way of thinking it crass.

TBH, I feel enforced commemorations not related to a specific team are quite pointless. I did think it a nice gesture re: the car crash victims last week as many in the crowd knew them & to not remember Mr. Higson was a disgrace.

In fact my kids were about 6 years old before they realised that the words Manchester and United weren't really swearwords! My argument against your points don't stem from any secret admiration of a nieghbouring club, more a sense of fair play. All of your points have been argued against because I feel you are just towing the BWFC supporting line and heresay. But, if your reply is how you wish a debate to be, fine. Couple of things

 

1. I really do dislike them, intensely

2. I think it can be fun

3. It was great to beat them last month

4. The way that the "big 4" run football is morally wrong

5. Many of their fans really are arrogant scumbags and need a figurative slap, regularly
