Still, a lot has happened in the 20 years since. We both had away wins in the first week of December. Our's was at Red Star Belgrade; their's was at Salisbury.

Was there for home leg, stood on Burnden Terrace. Fookin mare! gutted

A day I have tried to erase from my memory, along with Tranmere '91, so thanks for reminding me ;-)..... After the 2nd leg I didn't speak from the final whistle until I was on Moncrieffe Street over the railway bridge, when my mate said something along the lines of "it's not the end of the world". I think the look on my face said everything that needed to be said in reply, and funnily enough we didn't go to a match together again after that....... didn't their team coach get trashed after the match?

As it was our only season down there, is the full set of programmes worth owt?

I'd had a heavy night in Ritzy the day before the home leg and I had a shocking hangover on the day of the match and it didn't get any better

 

However, the season in the 4th division was my favourite one so far, just because we couldn't get any worse

Urgh ..... I was at Aldershot; still have the programme. Couldn't face the 450 mile round-trip for the 2nd leg. Still gutted though.

Some of the away ones sold out on the day due to our bigger than expected away following,i didn't get the Rochdale programme until the internet age despite going to the match.But it was still only ?1 from a dealers online catalogue.

 

George, I'm still missing programmes for the Wanderers at Torquay & Hartlepool (4th division season) and Wigan (1992/93). Was at the games, but programmes sold out. Any idea where I might get hold of them ?

Rochdale away was a classic! 2-0 down to that shower of shite before John Thomas rescued us. I remember Keith Welch being pelted with everything including someone's shoe when he tried to get the ball back from our massive travelling support!

The most depressing bit was the manager of Aldershot saying, 'We looked far and away a different class side to Bolton' and they'd already played SIXTY games that season! Christ we were shit back then! Aldershot must have been a fairly decent side though because they went on to beat Wolves in the final!

Great memories, sad day for the Whites. Remember a pub in the centre getting trashed within 5 minutes of arriving then being cornered outside a Whimpy but managing to slip down a side road, then get beat. To top it all off we then broke down somewhere near Oxford on the way back. Got a lift back to Bolton by 2 fellas delivering carpets in Scotland !!

Brentside Programmes have Wigan for a pound but i can't find a Hartlepool
