wind chill factor - 5, 10,000 empty seats to get players motivated, a derby team scrapping for there lives, do you really expect a classic? once we got nolan and davies off and actually tried to play football we played some decent stuff, I know you have spit your dummy out with modern day football and you are entitled to your opinion, but your becoming very boring and extremely negative.

I will not get into a argument but....

People with different opinions than your own are neither boring or negative.....

Probably the most annoying game of football to watch. We battered Derby for 70 minutes and there was only ever going to be one winner. It could have easily been 4 or 5 on another day but it wasn't to be. Winning in the last minute will have given them a bigger lift than walking it by 2 or 3. Just look at the celebrations at the end.

Did we fcuk. Are you on Smack?

No but I'm right. Take off your negative specs and you would see that apart from a few small spells we were all over Derby. Miete played as a forward for almost all ofthe second half with Derby only creating 1 possibly 2 half chances. It was like a training game for us apart from the fact that we couldn't stick the ball in the net.

Yes, you are on smack.

Personally I thought the game was sh?te and we were poor. Our defence looks very dodgy, clean sheet or not and Compo and Gardner thought they were playing in black.

However

We were clearly the better side, it just wasn't clicking

Poor excuse but the weather did narrow the gap in the sides in terms of class

I know we wouldnt get away with it every week but we're in a relegation fight and I'd rather us win 1-0 playing sh?te than play well and not win - Villa at home anyone?

Learn from the game, take the 3 points and move on girlies.

Funny how one can be glad of working late isn't it.

Did your old man enjoy the view?

Yes, you are on smack.

Everyone's on smack

or the fact that you think we weren't poor...

As a bolton fan i nearly turned it off at half time...

as a neutral it would of been off after 15 minutes....I can't honestly imagine any sane person who knows the smallest ammount about football, sitting there thinking.... "oooooh this is a cracker, it's a shame it's blowing a force 10 and minus 7, because under normal circumstances Campo wouldn't have fallen over his shoe laces and Nolan with his McEnroe headband on wouldn't have missed from three yards"....

I really do wonder about the shockingly bigotted blindness of some people...

d*gshit end of.

We played dogshit in the '80's, I bet some of our 'fans' loved it last night

exactly!!! the game can be crap, on this occasions the final outcome made the game a good game, out of 100 games you may get 1 game of champagne football, 50 average games 25 dogshit and 24 good, that is the football fans lot, I find it very strange that through rose tinted beer goggles bolton were outstanding every week at burnden if you listen to folk on here.

were we any worse than we were six years ago? i enjyed the game, not for the dutchesque total football on show, for the spirit- we kept going, and didnt drop our heads when chances went begging. i seem to remember the mackems being equally poor opponents in (i think) 02/03 season and we got beat... i'm turning scouse dwarf, but i can take positives out of the game- wilhelmson looked dangerous, we created chances, and despite everything kept a clean sheet. we cant argue with our home record since megson took over, and if we cant start nicking points away should be safe come May.

certainly not, I remember when Derby did us 3-1 at home, I was fooking distraught that day, we went into the bottom three, I thought we were down and never coming back

agree on the spirit - we couldn't hit a barn door but we kept going forward all the time and the chances we had were not on target but not that wayward, kept me on the edge of my seat (as did the weather)

thought jussi played v well also, prob got us the 3 points

maybe blurred by a last minute winner but wasn't the worst game of footy i've seen

everyone i know who watched on tv thought it was turd though (that's not a pop at them, but not one had a good word really, which i thought was a bit harsh)

let's just be thankful our ineptitude to get it on target came against the whipping boys, on another day we know we can do better (wigan and brum for example)
