A City mate of mine at work said to me today that he thinks Ricardo Gardner is quality and has a brilliant first touch. I had to check a few times if he was taking the piss buit he was deadly serious.

I see the point you are making,but in this case I don't think it is valid.

 

Reading fans seem to question Lita over his temperament/laziness rather than ability.

 

He's only 22 and may be realising that he needs to change this if he's to make it.

 

This lad is still worth a go if we could get him for 2 mill.

was mentioned about ricketts attitude and temperamant and he scored a few for us , suspect we will have to pay nearer 4m though

double bid for him and doyle for 10 mil be good

a transfer to another premiership team would probably do nothing to make him think he's doing anything wrong

I would buy roberts if the price was around 2 million, but we still need another striker and centre midfielder I would spend all the Anelka money on these 2 positions.

anelka money hopefully buys class forward,class centre midfield (not holding my breath though) the club should throw another 5 million in the pot and definitely get a centre half in.

how can people bash gardner, he is quality, it was only two seasons ago when likes of alan hansan and rest of them on BBC were commenting he was one of THE best in the premiership, for me he is very consistant, has only had one bad game this season and it was city away.

He was bad against Derby too. He just doesn't look the player he was and its doesn't seem to be a loss of speed. Puzzling.

Gardner's pace still seems to be there, his defensive interceptions are great (I wish the other defenders were as awake), but he's often caught out of position (system fault - no-one covering his forward runs ??) and his distribution can be appalling all too often. Still doing a decent job most games, but liable to stinkers.

We could live with that for a while if the central defenders were up to their job.

I don't think he has had that bad a season. I agree that his crossing is poor, and sometimes his square passes are also poor, but I think him and Diouf link up very well on the left and between them often get into very good positions.
