Replacing Anelka with any old Frenchman isn't going to be good enough.

 

Wiltord hasn't been a goalscorer since he played for Bordeaux at the turn of the century, and he isn't likely to get any better now he's pushing 34.

Just the type of player we require at this stage of the season IMO.

 

If we're gonna see Davies return to the lone-striker role, we need a bit of pace on the flanks, and Wiltord fits the bill.

 

We certainly don't have enough in attack at the moment. Wiltord could change that.
