Today's Result

A good point or a good chance missed to get 3?

2 points dropped but i agree with you.

Even with the Keagan factor behind them they were average at best, we looked comfortable. If we had someone like Anelka up front I think we would have won.

Do you think we could sign him before the transfer window closes ?20 million bargain :sorry:

Wouldn't want to disappoint.

RG played well enough, but he really does need to work on his passing. Even his biggest fan (ie you or his mum) can see that.

What has Andranik done wrong

He would have fitted in well in midfield

An excellent point away from home, especially considering the "new manager syndrome" and a clean sheet. First job was to deflate the barcodes and see if we could nick it , which we nearly did. Davies needs someone to at least get along side him for the high balls. But some of Megsons tactics and substitutions are still strange to me.

All said and done I am celebrating tonight.

Well said we nearly did the Bastards.

Good point you superwhittes.

Considering our atrocious away record, any point is a bonus, especially at the barcode's homecoming parade.

How long till away fans at Newcastle are singing 'you're getting sacked in the morning'?

Wouldn't want to disappoint.

traf...

gardner has never been able to pass a decent ball...never..

you can't fault his commitment and after suffering bad injuries in his career...

but I'm not a fan...never have been.. even when he was player of the season...to erratic for me...

but for Casandra to call folk retards for stating the obvious...

His pace too, his recovery from bad positions he might get himself into...

He's a perfectly good premier league full back and one position in the team we needn't worry about (horrible in midfield though), and a few years back he was amongst the very best in the division IMO...he may have just lost a yard since then

By this stage I think we just have to accept what he is and what he isn't, he'll never be Glenn Hoddle

Good point for us though, and a good performance away from home - they had no shots on target

A good point.

blimey you get laid ?

i assume everyone had us down for nothing yesterday, although newcastle were very poor any point away from home is good for us this season.

i think newcastle could still dragged into things i know they had players out but has keegan got time to bring anyone in and if he does at what price ?

I expected us to get beat with the way we have been playing. Newcastle were very poor aswell. It was one of those games we would have gone and won 1 nil a season or so ago.

i dont beleive his pass is to bad, he does complete passes. but very often his passes only just reach their target and they go backwards more that forward.

i see him as very much a aconfidence player.

still my 1st choice for left back though.

It was a game where a month ago we would have buckled under the pressure and conceded midway through the 2nd half, before letting 2 more in late on.

Should've nicked it in the last minute. Good atmosphere in our end though.

the bolton fans got a good write up in the sunday mirror for the chants sacked in the morning to keegan, and at the end of the match sing you should ave stuck with sam.

awful game to watch!! good point though

I don't suppose they also mentioned Zico's chant of

Bobby Robson shits himself

he's incontinent

Geordie baiting - my favourite sport

To get a point given all the hype etc about Keegan, was excellent.

Would have loved that late chance to go in, but at least all the other results

went our way.

Great atmosphere, still got a sore throat this morning !!

from the Guardian's match report:

Keegan could do worse than replace Enrique with Ricardo Gardner. "That's the best Ricardo's played for me and credit goes to Simone Gardner," said Megson. "I spoke to his wife last night; I took the phone off him and told her, 'I can't get him to defend properly,' and she's probably told him to get his arse into gear."

he got MOTM too
