February 1, 200818 yr Reading are not gaining anything by saying we didnt make a bid. Maybe to placate a less than amused player who wanted a move and regular football? Interesting to know if, for example, Portsmouth put a bid in. Perhaps they would accept a bid from them and reject an identical bid from us? Knowing we a relegation rivals and the predicament we are in? Just a thought pure speculation.
