Guest squidgy66 Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 I know there has been a thread on this, but I need clarification before I part with my credit card balance. When do we stand to play? Is it (semi) garaunteed to be Lisbon?

farnworth white Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 do we know when... i have an itch and need to scratch on reflection that probably says it all, but can someone spell it out for me Match dates and fixture reversals 10.05 The UEFA administration decides on match dates and fixture reversals on a case-by-case basis, according to the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee. For the first round of the competition, associations with three or more clubs in the UEFA Cup may arrange the home and away matches of their clubs on Tuesdays, provided such matches kick off before 18.00 hours (CET). The approval of the visiting club and its national association is necessary in such cases. The UEFA administration reserves the right to impose a match date in the event of clashes between domestic competition matches and matches in this competition. Automatic reversals 10.06 If more than one club from the same city, or within a radius of 50 km (31 miles) of each other, are taking part in any of the UEFA club competitions and/or play in the same stadium, and if the national association and the clubs concerned explicitly declare when entering the clubs that their matches cannot be played on the same day, priority is given to UEFA Champions League matches and UEFA Cup matches are reversed in accordance with the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee. no idea!!

farnworth white Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Uefa may change the date/week because Sporting and Benfica are both at home in the 2nd leg. To be honest I don't know if this will happen but until any dates are confirmed.....
TravellingWanderer Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Both Milan clubs were drawn at home the same week in the Champions League, Inter have to play Liverpool a week later, so they could delay it a week. Benfica are the bigger club so it one game changes it will probably be ours.
Gonk Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Next Round? 1. Let's not get too giddy just yet. Can we get giddy now please
bwdavefc Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Looking at UEFA's site, Benfica are playing Getafe at home on the 6th. Means we'll be there either on the 12th or 13th. http://www.uefa.com/footballeurope/club=50...n=14/index.html
casual1690 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 uefa.com is undergoing major maintenance work this weekend to improve the website ahead of the launch of euro2008.com. This work is essential to improve the service available to uefa.com users. The website will not be updated this weekend but will resume its normal service early next week. Thanks for your continued support.
farnworth white Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 They surely have to decide/announce it very soon because the 1st leg is lees than 2 weeks away.
