TBF he is probably the best in the world at winning free kicks when he hasn't been fouled.

 

As someone else said he is more interesting to watch than most of the other players we have, but he is way past his best and should be put out to pasture somewhere warm.

Still provides the best entertainment from any player on the books at present...

 

...it might not all be for the good of the team but he is the only player who puts a smile on my face over 90 minutes.

He slows everything down when he has the ball and the other players dont know have a clue what he is going to do with it. Get rid and play 442 with Nolan and Guthrie or McCann in the middle, Stelios right and Taylor left.

He can't shoot (somebody will point out Spurs last year)

His tackling is embaressing

 

And mainly HE IS A LIABILITY IN POSSETION. The amount of times he is caught on the ball when trying to have 10 touches in his own half is frightening.

 

I have said it before but, McCann is not the long term answer but IMO he is by far the better choice to play in Centre Mid.

 

Ok he is just about as slow as Campo (even though he is much fitter box to box) but,

 

He is a better tackler

His short passing is better

He takes less risks

He doesn't lose possetion as easily

He is much better in and around the box, shooting wise.

 

IMO a midfield 3 of Nolan, McCann and Guthrie is just about the best we could put out, and has the right balance of defense and attack in it.

 

As for Campo, he has been a servant to the club, and has provided many memorable moments, but he is way past his best and is now not good enough to play in our team. He shouldn't be at the club next season.

McCann is the one to play in that position when we are in the Championship. While we are in the top flight then Campo is your man.

 

Remember how shite we were when Sammy Lee wasn't picking him?

I think he's a very good sub to use if we want to keep the ball.

 

When we need to do that he's very good.

 

However, when we need to push forward, he tries to force it too much and gives it away alot.

 

Basically, he's one of our best and worst in possession dependant upon the situation!
