March 20, 200818 yr I don't care who plays as long as they shape themselves and get stuck in! This is now a must win game! No question! I think it could be quite an anti-megson atmosphere if things aren't our way after the end of the first half. (if it isn't already!)
March 20, 200818 yr i really like diouf playing off the front man, rather than on the wing. he needs to be the main creative man in our team
March 20, 200818 yr Presuming Nolan and Cahill don't make it - Al Habsi Hunt A O'Brien Steinson Gardner Stelios Guthrie Mc Cann Taylor Davies Diouff Lets go 4-4-2 and rip into 'em. 2-0 tert Whites Radio Manchester sport bulletin this morning said Cahill will be fit for Saturday Edited March 20, 200818 yr by Gonk
March 20, 200818 yr i really like diouf playing off the front man, rather than on the wing. he needs to be the main creative man in our team I'll ave a bit of that from the second half yesterday. It would be good to have his control and passing in this vital area and he is a class player that we don't seem to be getting the best out of at the present time for whatever reason. I know it's seen as moaning and hunting for scapegoats but I think for the team, for the fans and for Megsons job he needs to realise his worst mistake now and drop Matt Taylor. Forget how much we paid! Let it go! Put Stelios in permanently from now till the end of the season, he's past his best and a little lightweight to play upfront but he'll get a few goals given the same chances Matt has had. My biggest fear [ something I may have mentioned ] is that we will lose/draw all the remaining games when we actually create many many more chances than our opposition. Whilst none of them are real Premiership quality, at home we need a real Fredi Bobic performance from one of our 'goalgetters' . . . Helgusson, Rasiak . . . I'd start with one of them against City. Give em 90 minutes and it may just be the difference between losing 0-1 and winning 2-1

March 20, 200818 yr Hopefully McCann gets nowhere near the starting line up, the guy is gash and I'd rather have a fooking bag of sand in the centre of midfield.

Because he's lazy and his hearts just not in it at the moment. Played well 2nd half yesterday but doesn't make up for his last 3/4 months of gutless shite
March 20, 200818 yr Hopefully McCann gets nowhere near the starting line up, the guy is gash and I'd rather have a fooking bag of sand in the centre of midfield. McCann played well yesterday breaking up united attacks, only a cracking save from kuszac stopped him scorring a belter
March 20, 200818 yr Because he's lazy and his hearts just not in it at the moment. Played well 2nd half yesterday but doesn't make up for his last 3/4 months of gutless shite Agreed, for me since Anelka left diouf seems to spend his time running the ball into dead ends. He trys to much at times and fails to get a delivery into the box far too many times. I felt yesterday he was very wasteful.
March 20, 200818 yr McCann played well yesterday breaking up united attacks, only a cracking save from kuszac stopped him scorring a belter I stand by my comments. When he came on against Wigan he was kack. He was kack yesterday too. We need more than breaking up moves his passing is as accurate as micheal fish weather forecast.

I felt yesterday he was very wasteful. well I only saw the last 30 mins... and if that was his better bit of the game then.... I wasn't sure where he was supposed to be playing...at times i thought he was a defensive midfielder... and the inability of some of our players to cross the ball is frankly astounding...
March 20, 200818 yr and the inability of some of our players to cross the ball is frankly astounding... Agree, it's amazing, but I dont think this is new for us. We did improve when hunt came on at right back.
March 20, 200818 yr Played well 2nd half yesterday but doesn't make up for his last 3/4 months of gutless shite You're talking utter wank. He missed most of January at the African Nations, and he's started six games since he came back. I'm not sure how that amounts to 3 or 4 months of shite. Before he went he'd been far and away our best player this season, and to call him lazy and gutless is just f?cking ridiculous.

March 20, 200818 yr that is why we signed him though to be a midfield spoiler, to expect to be anything different is like expecting your koi carp to play fetch. He is definately a midfield spoiler, its just our midfield he spoils!!

We need more than breaking up moves his passing is as accurate as micheal fish weather forecast. Who wasn't kack against Wigan?? McCann should definately be in the starting 11 on Saturday IMO. Id go 4-4-2 Al Habsi Hunt Cahill O'Brien Gardner Guthrie McCann Nolan Stelios Diouf Davies
March 20, 200818 yr I must have missed something last night regards Guthrie's performance. All I can recall is him keep passing the ball out of play and his first touch resulting in the ball getting stuck between his feet.
March 20, 200818 yr and the inability of some of our players to cross the ball is frankly astounding... Spot on For me much of that is about the positions we're crossing from. We tend to deliver a high percentage of "centres" from deep. How often in recent months do you remember us crossing from us getting in behind the opposition defence or crossing following a quick break. Often our play going forward is so slow or alternatively the full-backs or Andy O'B just belt it in from the middle third - it's not an angle that's particularly conducive for attackers to nod those types of balls in. Guthrie's cross for the Davies chance last night was a good cross and Taylor has put the odd good ball in with pace, but they are the exceptions
March 20, 200818 yr The crosses from free-kicks and corners is no better. How often do they fail to get past the first defender. Infact, thinking about it - how many goals have our centre backs scored this season. We must be heading for a all time record low? I can only recall 1 - Meite knocking in from 2 yards in the UEFA Cup.
Presuming Nolan and Cahill don't make it -
Al Habsi
Hunt A O'Brien Steinson Gardner
Stelios Guthrie Mc Cann Taylor
Davies Diouff
Lets go 4-4-2 and rip into 'em. 2-0 tert Whites
