Tis all about the Benjamins now & IF/WHEN we go down, the club will have a few less. So in conclusion, for the club, it could be the end of the world.

The difference between dropping from the old Division 3 to the old Division 4 was pretty negligiable, nothing like dropping out of the Prem.

i was there !! and that day was fcuking awful !! i was gutted for months , not as gutted as losing to oldham in the fa cup quarter final mind you ! now that really hurt

I think the Oldham game hurt because, although they were Premier League at the time, they had been our rivals within the memory of most of the folk at Burnden. That and the fact that, after recent wins against Liverpool, everton, spurs, Villa, Arsenal, etc. we expected to win.
