Bruno was only 30 and had won the Serie A title with Milan two years before coming to the Reebok.

 

Campo was 28 and had played in the Champions League final only a couple of years earlier.

hardly on a level with Deco and Arshavin in the eyes of people at the time we signed them. which was my point, we've never been a club to attract top european talent at the peak of their careers.

 

They may not have been the superstars they once were in their youth, however they added much needed quality to the team. Megson will not attract nor want talent like that. Mundane hard working championship plodders will be arriving.
