them ipswich fans are a set of shithouses too, steaming into that sportsbar and then a queue of normals at the ground after only about 20 of us had been sat in their pub early doors without complaint.

Me main memory is the pitch invasion at the end, not just celebrating but over goading us, with the bloke on the PA taking the piss in the background. FA would have been expected to have done them big time for that, but of course Sheepshanks had a word.

All in all I have very mixed emotions about those two consecutive Ipswich playoff games down there. Two amazingly tense matches - astonishing how they panned out ie 15 goals between the two games; but also the sadness of hearing about the car crash after the first one, and, of course, being on the wrong end of at best scarcely believable bias, at worst genuine corruption, in the other.

Plus that A14 drags on for fookin ages
