Hunt And Al Habsi Off To Hull

People seem to have short memories, Jussi has been a top performer for us since we got in the Prem. Pleased to see us tie him down to a new deal

Yes but all players have their sell-by date.

I am sure that Jussi will perform to his usual high standards (even though these have dropped over the past 18 months) BUT in the 12 games that Al Habsi played at the end of last season, he now looks the better keeper.

If Al-Habsi stays (and is given a fair crack at stakeing a claim for first choice keeper) then signing Jussi is a good thing. If however it means Ali is allowed to leave then its as bad a bit of businness as we've ever conducted. and I fear the worst.

ITK fact AL-habsi more than any other player saved us from relegation.

Al Habsi will leave now,he looks top quality and deserves to be no 1 somewhere.

however, lets not forget Jussi is ONLY 33 and could have 7 seasons in him at the top level.

Am i right in thinking Habsi can buy out his contract for 300 grand,so that is all we can get for him?

if so,that's a bummer, thought he might have made us a few million

sorry, just read the jussi thread, should have put this in there.hey ho.

Not as bad a bit of business as if we'd told Ali he could be number one, pissing off Jussi in the process, only for the Omani to pay up his 300k and piss off to Turkey.

Al Habsi was instrumental in us staying up, he's earned every penny we've paid him and some. If he gets a move to play regular first team football then I'll always be grateful for his contribution after being sat on the bench, not complaining, for longer than most people would have.
