Funny one John Rudge

 

A legend as Manager at Port Vale for years and years then defected to Stoke.

 

Wonder how he'd get greeted at Vale Park these days seeing as they hate the potters with a passion?

Acrimoniously sacked after 15 yrs as manager. He's very passionate about football in the Stoke area and jumped at the chance to become director of football at Stoke.

 

He did a great job at Port Vale, similar to the job Dario Gradi did at Crewe, spotting young talent and making a profit from them. They used to be better than us too.

 

Vale sacked him, he went to Stoke. Stoke are in the Prem and Vale are in League 2. No doubt he's happier where he is.
