Ironic that Jussi has pissed about with 2 year deals for the last few contract renewals but come this summer when he has (for the first time in his Bolton career) got some competition for his shirt and he can't wait to sign a long term contract.

Surprised at Ricky getting a 3 year deal but I am please for him and the club - a very valuable player for Bolton.

Excellent news on both fronts. As managers say its like having 2 new signings. Glad they are both on long term deals. I was a bit worried about Gardner as nobody has heard anything regarding his new contract since it was offered to him about a month ago.

I told you earlier in the week what was happening with Ricky.

What are Ricky's CM stats anyway. Should we have kept him or not?

not ironic at all

he was offered 4 years elsewhere, i suspect on more than we're paying for him

Very good news, we are definitely going the right way, signing key players on long deals, despite interest in them from some big clubs, adding youth and quality, Megson has brought some stability and common sense to the club after BSA left it all looked like it could implode, I think we could do quite well this season.

I have mixed feelings about Jussi signing a new deal.

Good that we have got a quality keeper for 4 years - there is no better keeper for a one-on-one save in the Prem...

...but I doubt Al Habsi will now sign a new contract and IMO he has proved himself to be a better alround keeper than Jussi.

Corky ruined by boxing day in 190???

Went to plough lane in my best xmas pringle jumper. When we set off it was a loveley winters morning no jacket required. We lost about 5-0 Think Cork scored a hat-trick. To top it off it hailstoned the size of golf balls, 200 trotters all trying to get into the toilets for shelter. :yahoo: Priceless

Jussi has been top notch for the best part of a decade....and is easily the best keeper I've ever seenplay for us.....highlighted by him being our number 1 for the four seasons we were very good.

Now Ali has a few good games and he's better than Jussi?

Jussi is proven

Ali Ba-Ba isn't
