August 17, 200817 yr dya think? Typical Guthrie, tidy and busy but nothing productive That sounds harsh, he may add the end product to his game as he matures, but at this point, it's not there
August 17, 200817 yr he was quality today. and has been all pre-season, especially against valencia last week. very good on the ball, comfortable and clever, rarley gives it away is what we've seen so far. looks a good buy for us.

August 17, 200817 yr your easily impressed then. don't expect him to get any better becasuse guthrie does exactly what it says on the can. why, what does it say on the can??? i can only comment on what we have seen so far, i didn't see him at your place last season so i can't comment on that, but for us so far he has been very good. of course it is very early days, and we saw similar from scott parker before he quickly went to shite. i think a debut performance like that at old trafford is pretty impressive personally. time will tell if he can keep it up for us.
August 17, 200817 yr guthrie promised so much when i first saw him play for us but he never did kick on and improve. reliable player but doesn't pull up any trees.

August 17, 200817 yr i think a debut performance like that at old trafford is pretty impressive personally. Is he the new 'Messiah'?
August 17, 200817 yr I think he played alrite , did a bit of skill near touchline and put N'zogbia through which was impressive and he looked solid and played the ball around well . Also think that was a decent result for Bolton , wouldn't wanna be going to Newcastle for there 1st game of season @ home when the've just lost . Edited August 17, 200817 yr by DidledeeBwfc
August 17, 200817 yr oh, get you. time will tell i guess. you asked a question and i answered it. is only my opinion and i'm not asking you to agree or disagree with it. anyway you'll find out for yourself when may comes. liverpool didn't think he's good enough, bolton didn't want him after a season looking at him - will fit in well at newcastle then. nothing against the lad but he ain't no, and won't turn in to a hoddle or platini.

When he's not scored any goals or created any by the end of the season you'll know what we mean. Although I know I'm tempting fate with us playing you next week and players trying harder against former clubs and all that.

Why did the beloved boo one of their own? Have you changed your opinions on Nicky Butt?
August 18, 200817 yr Author ] what was it with Scott Parker? Why did the beloved boo one of their own? Have you changed your opinions on Nicky Butt? i thought parker was a cockerney type geezer?
August 18, 200817 yr ] what was it with Scott Parker? Why did the beloved boo one of their own? Have you changed your opinions on Nicky Butt? he was shite. started off very well, and then quickly went shite, whilst the rest of the country thought he was great, those who watched him every week knew he wasn't. a bit like nolan maybe? not sure what your lots thoughts are on him, but a few bolton fans i know think he is shocking. butt is butt, gets stuck in every week as he always has, ive never particularly liked or disliked him, but i know some of the idiots took badly to his behaviour in the semi final defeat to manure.
