Not me personally. But a bloke I know has been done TWICE coming back from France. Confiscated his car as well. Which I find a bit harsh.

No but my uncle got busted coming through Liverpool with 15 thousand ciggies, all they do is take them off you! and sometimes put a note on your passport labelling you a smuggler!!

Mr H got done coming back from Goa

They confiscated his fags and stamped his passport with Smuggler

He also got warned that if he gets caught again, not only will they push metal objects up his bottom but he will also be prosecuted

By fags, you are talking about cigarettes rather than customers of the Blue Oyster bar aren't you?

I think i'm correct in saying that within the EU the "guideline" (not law) is 3600 cigs, but travelling from outside the EU you can only bring back 200.I got collared by a customs officer with 5,000 coming back from Portugal a few years back - when he said it was "A lot of cigs" i just said i smoked a lot, and he let me through. :good:

=@

I got stopped coming back from Prague.

I only had 600 for my mummy & they took the fcukers off me!!!

Cnuts.

Nah, English customs got the hands slapped off the EU for misguiding travellers that's why the signs are no longer displayed in airports

Provided they are for personal use, there is no limit on how many you can bring back from an EU country

And don't let anybody tell you otherwise

If customs or the police ask, just tell em you bought them in Lisbon, that always fools em

I did this once coming back from Switzerland.

Some fella said "I can get rid of em for you"

Have no idea how many I bought.

Realised I when I got my credit card bill, paid about ?85 for them. Got ?120 back.

Felt slightly unclean but at least I hastened someone's premature death whilst making a few quid :good:

slightly off tangent...

a "friend" was importing baccy from say India on a regular basis...

first few parcels arrived no problems...

a letter dropped through my "friends" door one day saying that cuntshovellers at Customs had confiscated them and that it was a offence blah blah, however if you felt this was unfair, please nip down to chat it through...

my friend just put it down to experience...

=@

whats the bomb for ? :-k

My Dad was sending me the stuff for f?cks sake.

It wasn't even for me either. My housemate wanted it.

Vinnybwfc, do you EVER work??

i sure do !! do you ?

Someone I know on her last trip from a non EU country. Packed a suitcase of cigs & nothing but cigs. On arrival in the UK she picked up the wrong suitcase, went home to find it was'nt hers. Returned to M/cr & customs had confiscated hers, they'd opened it to check it was'nt the persons who's case had gone missing, as it was full of cigs. She got her suitcase back but no cigs.

Dumb bint did'nt even realise the case she'd picked up was 10x heavier than hers

i sure do !! do you ?

I'm at work now my friend. Have you gone part time then?

It's quite what?

I know somebody who had 4,000 taken off them at Birmingham coming back from Prague on the day the Czechs entered the EU.

I got a bollocking at Amsterdam airport on my way back from Israel a few years ago. I only had a few sleeves of cheap Israeli fags, plus some I'd bought at Schipol. The Dutch policeman was like Paul Whitehouses version of him, and I couldn't take the telling off seriously.

He told me I would be put on a smugglers register and my movements would be watched.

Nowt's happened since, mind.
