Mpvs

Now I'm aware that most of you who have got kids are driving around in 4x4s but I'm thinking about buying an MPV and wondering what the best are second hand.

Also just a quick check on What Car shows that it seems to be cheaper buying both privately and from dealerships up north, by quite a bit in some cases. Anyone got any expereince in buying cars up and down the country?

I'm disappointed in you. What you ought to be going for, especially if you're moving closer to London, is the electric one of these.

Are you also a member of the SAS, have shagged all the top super models and told Ol' Whisky Face to do one when he tried to sign you for Utd?

really does depend on what your after. i deal with lots of folk who state M3s (galaxy/previa/tourag) are too big, but likewise M2s (picasso/scenic) are too small. M1/M2 are generally five seats, if you are after a bit of comfort, and not arsed about fuel then Grand Voyagers, and (i think) XC90s are quite nice. not had many good reports on Audi Q7s

Now, you see I'm back on my style over substance again as I find them acceptable.

See that's what I'm worried about, really I'm after boot space as we're either driving to Canterbury or Bolton at least once a month. I still think for our needs a picasso will suit and they are very cheap (plus I think they look better than Scenics) but I've been warned off the 1.6 versions. Do you know what the major problems are with second hand picassos?

they are forgeries? to be honest, i dont know the mechanical issues, but i swear by this website

www.parkers.co.uk/cars

it will give pros/cons and alternatives to each vehicle. also in-depth ratings to a variety of aspects- economy, performance, valuation
