Went over mine too MG :unknw:

First glance I thought Jussi had brought Bent down.

A replay or two later and I couldn't believe what I saw - Bent threw himself to the ground to win a penalty.

No mention in the BN, Sun or MOTD.

Did my eyes deceive me, or was it pure play-acting and cheating that won them that crucial penalty?

Aye, never a penalty.

Jussi wisely had second thoughts at the last minute and made no contact.

That ref had a shocker last time we had him, against City last season if memory serves.

so why the media silence?

or was this due to them not wanting to dampen the storyline about Harry's successful impact?

MOTD commentator convinced himself very easily the first goal was onside.

Looked off to me. Not even a 2nd replay!

One of those ones though where the linesman has to have a look at Bentley hitting the cross, then look up the pitch to see where the ball was going. It was marginally off as I saw it, but the sort of decision that goes against you sometimes.

The pen was a joke decision though - amd yet only Jussi complained about it.

And got a yellow card for his protest. Respect is in operation this season and only the captain is supposed to approach the ref. Also refs never change their decisions so not much point in complaining.

Oh and respect works other ways too. Note Messrs Barton and Rooney players should respect the spectators who ultimately pay their wages, and not antagonise them by silly badge kissing.

See that's bollocks there biff.

In my eyes players having a pop back is funny especially when it's done a badly as kissing the badge.

Fowler snorting the touchline or showing Lesaux his backside was brilliant.

McGinlay showing his belly to the wolves fans when he scored after they'd spent all match calling him a fattty

as long as it doesn't get Catona-esque and actual violence ensues it's all fun and games to me.

Seaman during the FA Cup replay showed his arse after 15 minutes of "Seaman lost the World Cop, Seaman lost the World Cup Nam naaaa naaaaa naaaa, etc.

If a fan gives a player, any player, any stick and that player gives it back then don't go running to the OB to make a complaint about it if it upsets your little Britt'ney.

When I go to a football match, I go to see players playing football not taking part in banter with the crowd. They should be 100% focussed on the game. If the crowd are giving a player stick, he needs to ignore it and concentrate on the game not think about how he can wind the crowd up. I also don't like players who run to their supporters when they have scored a goal. A quick handshake from their team mates as they return to the half way line is enough reward.

with a pint of mild waiting on the bar after the match courtesy of the chairman for the goalscorer.

i'm with you Biff.

old skool rools.

Not wanting to have a bash at Jussi - alright I will do then...

...why did he even give Bent the opportunity to kid the ref in to giving a pen. He had no need to follow Bent along the goal line, never mind slide in. There again, Jussi does have a fixation with going down on his knees.

And speaking of fixations...

it was a pen and it was offisde.

but would have been avoided if players had done their jobs in the first instance.

where were the centre halves for the first ? and what the fcuk was jussi doing for the second ?
