i must admit i agree with the rioch and pearce partnership{i have had a few beers tho}

one with a good knowledge of english play and one who has mixed it in europe!

Rioch as manager, McGinlay as assistant?

Good christ. Then we'll know we've become the small-time Newcastle United.

Curbishley is the man. Though his teams play anything but entertaining football, though thats the least of our worries.

....... did a fantastic job at Citeh.
Got to be better than Megson, desperation is getting to me at the mo mate <_<

Curbishley had more money and achieved less than Allardyce. He is only a contender if Allardyce won't come back.

The problem with Bolton fans. Too wrapped up in their own opinionated importance to see plain facts. Allardyce was far and away the best manager this club has had in living memory. Not only were the results amazing but his influence in the backrooms was revolutionary and many clubs have followed a number of his ideas.

Yes, people will troll out the same old b0llocks about 'Panoramagate', 'inflated ego', 'brown envelopes', 'stale towards the end', blah, blah fookin blah. Just remove all that emotive shiyte from the argument and look at plain old facts. Stark.

The best manager at BWFC since at least 1960.

Not that I believe that Gartsides and Allardyces egos would ever allow a reunion but, purely on the fans right to chant his name, I am 100% with them. A true Bolton Wanderers legend if some of you could take off the twisted blinkers. No different to singing 'John Byrom, Byrom, Byrom, John Byrom.............'

Curbs did a decent job at West Ham aswell, kept them up and last season they had a season we'd kill for at the minute, aswell as his exploits at Charlton. Sam has done nothing to suggest he's anything but yesterdays man. You can't go back imo, let him go and lets move on.

Nobody has taken away from his achievements here, but they are in the past.

With the greatest respect, all those things you just mentioned, are facts. QED.

good reply

How about, 1) while being paid to manage bolton, constantly bleating on about how much he wanted the England job he deserved the england job for what he did for us!

2) leaving bolton to 'spend time away from the game', and within a couple of months, accpting a job at newcastle and?

3) first game as newcastle manager, sending the players over to applaud the newcastle fans, when such things weren't done in marseille, for example thats really bad.

I'm sure there's more people can think of...

...and, in my view, irrelevant. We don't disagree on too much S but on this one we do (and your persistent mispelling of the word 'allegedly' =@ )

As I said, I don't think it can happen and I would be happy to give Mr. Curbishley a go.

It is a word I've always had issues with  I also have an issue with fat Brummy blokes with enormous egos too. :pardon:

Well said mate, have people forgot what the man did for us, uefa football was a dream 5 years ago!!

It is a word I've always had issues with  I also have an issue with fat Brummy blokes with enormous egos too. :pardon:

I will try and slim down and change my accent then :D

I was one of them chanting for big Sam and I dont give a shite what anyone has to say about it. I pay ?350 per season for my season ticket and will chant for whoever I want, as were most of the NSL. If there is a manager out there who could keep us up its Sam, and I would put my house on it. Once a legend always a legend. What exactly did he do wrong?

i sit in NSL and my season ticket only cost me 299 get gutted

ok chav!

harry rednapp has proved what a difference a good manager can have to a club

WE MUST GET ONE AT ALL COSTS

Problem is at the moment we dont have the players to get us out of this, Tottenham do.

The manager does help, But I fear a lot worse now than I did this time last year.

Our attacking threat is alot worse than Oct 07 and we cant do anything about it until Jan.

Whoever comes in aint gonna have it easy at all.

now i remember why i dont post on here anymore! what a load of shit i just read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! some people on here know so much about the bolton team they must go all the games  . sorry i forgot they dont go because of the credit crunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOME PEOPLE ON HERE ARE RIGHT DICKS.

And that would be because PG/ED appointed Megson as a 'decision that all football people would understand' and gave him the best part of ?30m to spend, I guess. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Oh, wait a minute though - 90% of us had a good idea how bad a decision is was when he was appointed.

Thing is, Horwich, ignoring the abysmal midfield, there's a decent & experienced set of players there if a manager had some idea how to use them. Midfield however is a disaster area which would have to be addressed in January - preferably by a manager who believes in skill, creativity, or even pace.

cheers pal
