Oh right. Yes, I too dislike the Thompson one. The Rightmove one obviously doesn't bother me . . . .or I haven't seen it yet, but the Johnny Vegas skit on Morecambe and Wise Breakfast sketch is pure comedy.

I too do that which you suggest. Unfortunately you then get onto a channel which has merits for replacing the programme formerly being watched.

 

Result: trying to flick between two programmes. Pisses the wife off a treat does that.

i just pause the telly when i go for a piss/brew and thus that gives me time to skip the ads when they come on.

 

But any ads for loans, IVA's and claims direct type places piss me off no end!

My mother used to be an estate agent for the aforementioned company and was on a do he was at once. She said the birds were all over him like flies round shit. I worry what goes on in folk's minds sometime. Knowing my mother she'd have given her opinion to someone there about it.

Hanyhoo, I don't mind the Thomson (without a p) advert. It's sweet and I sing along to it.

The DFS and CSL adverts really annoy me. Doesn't matter if you're watching the tele or listening to the radio, its usually never more than 15 minutes before one of their ads is on.

I've just said in another thread, the word disturbing was misused. If someone thought it a treat to take his family to Pontins in Southport, now that could safely be called disturbing!

The new adds for " Confused.com " are crap. All the Halifax adds are dross to, likewise the ones for safestyle uk ( double glazing )

 

Have to agree to disagree on the PG Tips Morecambe & Wise skit, that is quality. Do like the new the 1984 one for Virgin, the Aviva ( Name change ) & you can always rely on Guiness adds.
