We Are Not Real Madrid

This part of the site is really starting to wind me up. Some on this site expected us to go out today take on the best team in the world and win 8-0 (even then some idiots would be on saying it should have been 10 Megson out).

Do you all not realise we are Bolton fookin Wanderers. Each and every one of the opposition today would walk straight into our team yet people think we should be winning at a canter.

The constant Megson knocking is ridiculous. Other than the top 5, how many managers of the other 14 teams would you replace him with? He's doing a solid job slowly improving the team with quality young players.

What does he have to do to be doing a good job in some eyes? Champions League qualification? Double over Utd every year? Signing players like Kaka/Ronaldo/Drogba to show he has ambition?

I have to check sometimes I've not gone on a City website in error with alot on here thinking were the massivist club in the world.

1 goal in 7 games against the 'top 4' season is poor. His record at Bolton and WBA against these 4 is unbelievable.

Megson seems to right these games off, at least under BSA we had a go. Yes we suffered a few stuffings but we got a few results too.

That is what pisses me off - our manager is soooooooooooooooo negative.

me too

And the problem is he is being ultra negative with a crap central defence that can't keep clean sheets.

Trying to draw 0-0 against good teams with either O'Brien or Shittu in the defence is barmy

We can't keep clean sheets,so know that we have to score a goal but Megson doesn't pick teams to try and score a goal !

Well depressing isn't it , while BSA would shoot for the stars, Megson's decided that we're little Bolton ,a club or set of fans he doesn't respect and that we should revise our expectations downwards like his.

Thinking about it, you're spot on Barry. In fact we don't even deserve to be on the same pitch as United. In fact, giving up on 8 games a season is the future, after all Stoke are going to lose all 8 games too ain't they. No way will they get 5 points from the big 4 so far, how dare they even dream of that.

I don't think anyone said they expect Bolton to beat United, but surely we all have the right to expect us to at least have higher ambitions than to defend solidly for 90 minutes? Or has it come to the stage where we just pack up and go home ?

Spot on Ziggy, their 2 0-0 draws against Liverpool and defeat of Arsenal must have been a dream.

insert the marvellous wiggin for stoke

stoke got lucky at liverpool

we didn't get lucky at arsenal or on saturday

but hey, keep on moaning

I dont think we as fans have ever recovered from the dissapointment of Megsons appointment, it seems to have been gloom all the way since then.

I remember when his name was first mentioned someone on here wrote "Megson?, please god no" and i think thats how a lot of fans felt at the time and nothing has happened to change those thoughts,

knocked out of the cups in the early rounds, weakened teams in europe, negative comments about our chances against the so called bigger teams,

I just cant take to the guy or his very negative brand of football.

We have now not scored in the league since we played Portsmouth but barryk32 seems to be happy enough,no bolton

fan expected us to beat united 8-0 but maybe its not expecting to much to get one goal at home against WBA,Blackburn,Wigan,Chelsea,Utd,Everton and Liverpool,

I'm not bothered that we lost to united it's expected really, it's the timing of the goal that pissed me off.

We had coped well for 85 minutes, then to change the formation just seemed to upset everything. We had no outlet, just invite preasure all the time.

We've played direct football for a long time now but previously had players who could change a game. I'm bored of watching us play and the only reason I continue to go is because I CAN'T not go.

We have played all the top sides now and it's time to press on from here.

I must admit, when Obladi Oblada came on I thought they'd use his fresh legs against a tired defender. Either he was told not to bother or he just didn't know how.

You reckon any manager would tell a sub to go on and "not bother"?

This forum has plummeted the depths of despair today FFS.

The players didnt have the nouse to knock it in behind united's defence and play to his strengths, thats what fucked his chances up.

Well it reflects my mood then. I'm sick of being told that Megson is getting a raw deal and that everyone who criticises him does so because they expect to beat Utd 8-0. Utter bollocks. We are negative, boring and utterley clueless under this bloke. Yes we played some crap under Allardyce but mostly it was winning crap and we had a system. Allardyce had us organised and got the best out of the players.Portsmouth aside it has been dire at home this season. The only hope we have is that there are three worse sides than us. Fantastic.

City?

Stoke?

City?

Stoke?

8 dire home matches out of 11 + northampton. 9/12 that's 75% of home matches have been utter dross.

Go away matches then.

City?

Stoke?

City was a dire match. We won because they were more disorganised than we were. I missed the Stoke game so I can't really comment on the performance but if that's it I rest my case.

And Garrp, I have been to away matches as well. Really enjoyed them off the pitch but still not convinced on it.
