Guest The Special One Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 quality sums him up only a youngster but what a star hes gonna be comfortable on the ball, capable of dribbling from danger and can pick out a defence splitting pass, what impressed me most was the goal mouth scramble, heads were flapping then the ball fell to Mark Davies, he casually put a foot on it, looked up, turned and passed it out of the box instead of hoofing it, now that is a sign of a lad who is confident with the ball
HomerJay Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 agreed, add to that muamba, although passing and decision making needs improvement, he too is very comfortable with the ball, he's strong and dynamic and can put in one hell of a tackle, plus his workrate is top draw, they compliment each others abilities very well imo. trying not ot get carried away, we not have a 20 year old english midfield pairing who both have the potential to go on to be future england internationals. megson out.

You're not trying very hard - you didn't even last until the end of the sentence!
HomerJay Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I think potential is the key word. Do you not agree
HazzyinBolton Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Absolutely. He must have been delighted with his debut, which can only be good for the team as a whole. He even got his own special MOTD mention from Lineker & Shearer.
Smiley Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Very impressed with him. Definitely a bonus when players don't panic on the ball and he didn't. Missed a great chance with that header, but came from a move he started in the first place. Didn't look overawed at all. Muamba did exceptionally well too.
tylswhite Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 What the fuck were Wolves thinking loaning him out to a division below? We will have to thank them next season if we get the pleasure of meeting the twats

YATESY Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 You know something lads, and I will whisper this, Megson may actually know what the long term plans are!!

Zico Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 You know something lads, and I will whisper this, Megson may actually know what the long term plans are!! I'll whisper this would you have said that if it'd been 2-2 JSL
revdishydave Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 the guy looks promising, could go very far- again good on the ball and creates chances. with experience and composure wouldve had a couple of saturday
YATESY Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I'll whisper this would you have said that if it'd been 2-2 JSL Absolutely Zico. Long term he is turning us into a team / squad of solid imports with a mix of established and young promising English players. 4 young English players started on Saturday plus 2 more experienced Englanders and 2 long serving imports. The future is looking promising, we just need to battle through the short term to reach it!
jules_darby Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) He's a proper footballer. Plays in a simlar way to Guthrie. Best full debut I've seen in a while, but let's not get too carried away just yet. Let's remember Stevie Macanepie's debut Edited February 2, 2009 by jules_darby
Spider Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 You know something lads, and I will whisper this, Megson may actually know what the long term plans are!! Wouldn't hurt Megson or Gartside to let us all in on that so the mongywongytwitwat brigade might shut up
HomerJay Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 He's a proper footballer. Plays in a simlar way to Guthrie. Best full debut I've seen in a while, but let's not get too carried away just yet. Let's remember Stevie Macanepie's debut he is very similar to guthrie, but with more end product hopefully.
Boltimore Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 He's like Guthrie, but good. Agree. Never convinced with Guthrie.
jules_darby Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Was a good player Guthrie, just playing in a team devoid of confidence or passing ability. I'm not saying he's any better than Mark Davies, but nevertheless he was a good player IMO
frosty1982 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 i thought he played better than nolan has all season, in one game, i was a bit unsure about him at first, only been playing league one football this year but looks like he could be a decent signing, just hope that wasnt a flash in the pan game and he can do this on a regular basis.
agentorange Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Big test on Sat against Arteta. Be more inclined to get overboard about the lad if he can out pass that c@nt
Gaz Nt Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 He's like Guthrie, but good. I thought that when I saw him on Saturday. Plays very much like him. Lets just hope he doesn't fizzle out like Guthrie did.
