Rugby League

Started to try and understand the game and its rules during a drunken discussion with 2 drunken Leythers in Tenerife 2yrs ago.

Started watching bits of it and I now find myself watching more of it and enjoying it.

Is this normal?

So, I've decided I'm going to go and watch a few games "live" so to speak.

Who should I watch and why? I have no allegiances to any club, therefore I can easily adopt any team (except Wigan, obviously!) as "mine".

Answers on a postcard (or a stuck down envelope if you're common) to the usual address.

I hate to say it but I know what you are saying

When I first moved to Widnes I used to go in the away end

For the last few years, I've started going in the home end

So I think I've now been converted and for that reason, you should start watching Widnes with me and Big E then there'll be 3 Wanderers fans there

Leigh fans are queers and therefore don't count

Salford

It will be like watchung Bolton in the Prem.

You'll be sick of it in no time!!

I watch Leigh, for the reason that my Gramps has been a lifelong fan and he used to take us as a nipper to all the academy games and games at Hilton Park, then a few years ago my best mate played for em too, so therefore im a Leyther, Rugby is a cracking game to watch plus you can have a pint too watching on the terraces, so I would make yourself a Leyther :good:

(though i'm still waiting on me invite darn leyth) :pardon:

Obviously I am going to say Leyth.

But, impartial advice.......if I could choose it would be Saints.

They play proper rugby.

Other than that, I'd watch anyone. Apart from wiggin of course. There are rules.

As it happens.........Good Friday - Widnes v Leigh :drinks:

I think I like the fact that the game doesn't seem to be full of overpaid queers who fall down if the wind gets up.

Plus there's no fucking about with the refs.

And you can drink on the terraces?

Salford for me, thanks to my Salford ancestry, mind you aint seen them live since the match when Jonathan davies made his debut for Widnes.

I think I might do a tour and decide which I like best.

Whichever it is, it'll be a trek. I can't think who'd be the closest team to me.

Leigh all the way, but its the Barrow vWiggin match in the challenge cup, when ive got to control myself.

definately want to go to the willows once before they leave..

A Friday night in Weaste sounds just like your cup of tea.
