Murder, Manslaughter, Or Just Doing His Job?

Featured Replies

I think this just emphasises the point Squidgy is making about the Police becoming scared of taking action because of the what happens subsequently.

These guys may be innocent, but they were not arreseted for no reason at all there would have been some intelligence on them, for them then to sue the Police is just ludicrous.

The next time a Police Officer has to make the same decision whether to stop someone given similar circumstances, the kind of reaction described above may may persuade them not to aprehend the suspects. If these people then go on to carry out some terrorist act then we would all be up in arms about the country being run by liberals. Time to pick your side me'thinks!!

I know you quoted me, but I do hope you don't consider me to be one of those liberals you mention.

Reasonable, yes. Liberal, no.

There's simply NO excuse for the copper to use the force that he did. Even if the guy had been mouthing off constantly for 10 minutes prior to the push, .

It's fairly well common practive to push someone away when they have not been heeding to verbal commands (I've no doubt there are a lot on here have been on the receving end of a copper's shove after a night out or at a match).

I'll won't post any further on the thread as someone quite rightly pointed out today it's not just Bolton supporters that read the site (and people have got in trouble over less).

Ultimately it is down to people different perspectives of a matter. I have a different background to most and my job undoubtedly changes how I view things on a day-to-day basis.

Some on here are parents and are passionate about issues involving kids. I really couldn't give a flying fart about them, but that's their perspective :pardon:

Bolty likes sticking his willy in vespa exhausts - that's also really not my scene.

The one common theme here is that we are all passionate about Bolton and it's the different perspectives and disagreements that make the site so enjoyable. :good:

If you are a football fan or if you like a drink (especially if both) then you are fair game to be assaulted or have your human rights restricted by our 'boys in blue'. I used to think it was out of the ordinary when I witnessed it first time, but after many incidents I now know it is just part of the game :pardon:

I know the police read this messageboard, but do I look bovered? They know it as much as we do. When it comes to the crunch we don't have a leg to stand on in court, police witness statements/lies will see to that. Unless you have got something on them to barter with, that would prevent them from making the false allegations in front of a jury for example.

I think you thought I was the plod at one point Zozzy and you were very much wrong with that one.

Back to the point in question though, it seems like the guy was fucking about for a while around there (looking at the papers today) but still didn't deserve to be pushed over in the way he was. That copper was a acting like a 'BIG I AM' even though they were miles off all of the trouble happening at the time; he should be charged with assault just like anyone else would be, the tit...

sorry about that, the friendly Bobby that posts on here has a very similar username to yours.

More to the point, I haven't lived in Winchester for fucking years, how do I change my username to say "Chorley White" or whatever?

Ok fair enough, plenty of forums allow you to change your username, Im pretty sure this one once did also, but it's no biggie... :pardon:

The fact remains, that you can no longer just change your username.

Give it a day or so and we'll be at the dogging stage.

Please can I change mine to be Diana Prince?

I'm thinking of changing my name.

The point is; whether or not his alleged Heart Attack was anything to do wiith the not-very-hard push.

You could pass over that one

Reet, so I am forever tarnished with being a member of the WW forum with a name associated with the middle classes (even if my intellect doesn't quite match the assumption)? Still, it's got to be better than stuck with a identity such as DarcyLever or such...

I always find it mildly amusing when someone shouts across the pub to Satan to see what he's having

Like Squidgy is much better

You think that's bad....

aye but you've whinged about this before - and I distinctly recall after one such whinge you joined some other site we were all spamming or summat....so you could call yourself anything you wanted. And you came up with? "BWFCUnderpants" or summat similar. So you never learn. :pardon:

It was a fcuking Lambretta big bore matey and the missus had been away for six weeks.

Now then, back to the subject. Not for the first time, I subscribe to Smiffs view on this one. The bloke was not acting aggressively in any way. The copper king hit him from behind. We used to use a word some years ago which could appropriately applied to a copper, dressed in riot gear and tooled up to the hilt smashing into the back of an unsuspecting passer by. Cowardly. You can argue black is white all you want but there is no escaping this fact.

The fact the chap died is of little significance when considering the actions of the policeman. What is significant, however, is that at the back end of a rough day, a c?nt of a police officer used force (I don't even have to say 'excessive,' just 'force' is enough) upon a person who was quite obviously of no threat whatsoever. That is unacceptable and should get him sacked and slung in front of a judge irrespective of hthe the fela in question dies or gets up and wallops him back. And you soft b?stards giving it 'ohh, erm, hmmm, it's a really tough one, this,' B?LLOCKS.

I'm glad the prick in question has come forward, but irrespective of the heart attack, which is the only reason this has come to light, he should have the f?ckin book slung at him with time off for coming forward. It is self evident that those whose job it is to enforce the law should be f?ckin slaughtered when they break it.
