Cheshire sports Chief Executive is (or was) someone called Niels de Vos.

 

Niels de Vos was once the Chief Executive for Sale Sharks.

 

I think that Stockport are actually the tenants of Edgeley Park and Sale Sharks the actual owners of the ground.

 

Stockport are owned by a supporters trust and have done really well on the pitch the last couple of seasons. I hope things turn out ok for them in the end.

Seems like yesterday... The one that is hazy for me is the away game in Division 4 when Frankie Worthy scored (for them ).

 

Some plum on the BN reckoned that no one on here was around in those days, when in reality I think we have the largest amount of posters from that era. We regularly got 4500 and it was 22 years ago. You'd have to be 37/38 now to have gone on your own, many of the people I remember I haven't seem for years at a match. Many of those people will now either be dead or way too old anyway. Of the 20,000 that now go, I reckon only 10% went in those days.

It's a very good question.

I know I have been away for a couple of days but I thought Southampton had already had 10 points deducted and as such relegated?

 

Whats all this of the -10 at start of next season, unless there are more irregularities found?

Don't the points get deducted in the season that you go into administration unless you are already relegated.

The idea being to stop relegated teams going into adminstration and effectively avoiding punishment.

The 10-point deduction for Football League clubs entering administration was introduced in 2004, with Wrexham the first League team to suffer a deduction in the 2004/05 season.

 

In 2007, the rule was amended so that clubs going into administration after the fourth Thursday in March would have the 10-point deduction suspended, but only if they are in the relegation zone.

 

If they are outside the relegation zone, then the points are taken off straight away, even if it means they then drop into the relegation zone.

 

Apparently Stockport have timed it just right, they can still be relegated, but they would have to lose about 18:0 to go down

As a Stockport lad, not had many decent times watching Bolton there - best BWFC individual performance was a certain Michael Ricketts when he came on as sub in the cup there...

 

Even their lot were signing Ricketts for England...he was head and shoulders better than anyone that day

When they beat us 4-3, I had a heated debate with one of their fans outside. I feel much better now.

 

First game I took my lad to: an excellent and typical introduction to watching Bolton.

 

3-0 at half-time, he sat on the terraces with his head in his hands and asked will it always be like this?

I said, " Don't worry son, we'll score 3 in the second half!" (as dads do!)

 

So, when we got our third he was over the moon: I then told him that it was almost inevitable we'd lose 4-3 and we did!
