Piemon Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Eh? I was well behaved last night, just discy dancing! The acoustic set was superb. Met some very funny people last night. Everybody was up for it. Liked how they set up in the beer garden too. The support bands were brilliant. What was that song? "I think you're a cunt" and one that said "Don't hit me, I'm drunk". Nice to meet Hughesy, Kim and 'Ann.' That club we went in afterwards was shite. I can normally dance to a slamming door when I'm on brandy, but that was awful. What was it? Bouncy house or something. I must be getting old. Finished the night off with a kebab and harassing the taxi driver. Beltin. When we doing it again? Kim loved it BCG thanks for taking her under your wing All she kept saying in the taxi home 'orrr there all dead nice them lot' (Shes got a lot to learn)

Big City Girl Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Quote of the night: Smiley "What you having, it's my treat" (It was his round) Then tried to get Hughesy to buy all 4 of us a drink. Sneaky fecker.
Smiffs Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 The lad is Lewis, he's the sister of my goddowter and a really nice lad, in a non gay kind of way. I'm feeling quite OK actually, but Doris has suggested it might be becuase I'm still pissed and the hangover hasnt started yet. Thankfully I can have a glass of wine in 55 minutes without feeling like an alky.
Smiffs Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I mean he's my goddowters brother. Or she's his sister. Fuck knows. Which way round does it go? Doris is right.

Smiley Posted August 8, 2009 Author Posted August 8, 2009 Got back to the hotel and either BCG or Madflange offered my cheesey garlic bread to some randoms in the bar. Think I only got 1 slice myself. I managed to get home with all personal items present and correct. Can't believe how desperate a certain person was with the return taxi driver. And remembering the taxi driver from Kearsley butting in with all our conversations. Hughesy's t-shirt was cool. Henry looked a twat as always in his LeShark!!! Ps. Finishing with iced water is why I felt half decent today

Need to sort themselves a few good support slots out first with bigger bands - exactly what TW have done.
Carlos Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 They were pretty good, but not good enough to drag me into Manc on a Tuesday night.Need to sort themselves a few good support slots out first with bigger bands - exactly what TW have done. I disagree immensely. TW are fairly shit (on record anyway), it's music by numbers with lyrics that even Oasis would be embarrassed by. Supporting bigger bands and picking up some of their fans on the way is a short cut, doing it on your own is infinately more respectable.
