I feel the need to come out of sem eye retirement for this one, that Bruce Sprinsteen set was the biggest load of dog wank i've seen in years - The Boss? yeah right.

PS - Does he have emphysema or summat? he seems to struggle finishing every verse.

Utter utter pish.

As you were folks.

Good to see thee back mate :good:

? You may have to explain that one for me.

Springsteen seems one of those acts that people talk about and then one has to be on the bandwagon if your to be hip and with it! I guarantee that if anyone where to listen to it on their own for the first time without reading reviews or hearing mates eulogise they would not give a second listening.

Was at Hyde Park yesterday, and and once again the great man put on a show for the ages. Whilst the actual music may not be everyones cup of tea, the atmosphere he generates at a gig is second to none.

1st song, straight in, no introduction, London Calling. Then nearly 3 hours of picking through an extensive back catalogue (Still not heard Incident live however, and thats after 37 gigs).

The Dave Matthews band were pretty sublime in support, but unsurprisingly, James Morrison was shite, and an embarrasment.

I'm not a big fan of his music.

I do though like the way the yanks think he is patriotic, when nothing could be further from the truth.

Because of 'Born in the USA' without listening too it, can?t beat a politician for jumping on band wagon

Republicans actually used it as an election soundtrack.

Until he told them to stop (well hes lawyers did)

I got pretty near the front for the boss, just behind the Stoke flag that I assume must have been on tv a bit. Am only a young one and I don't know all his stuff by any means but that was a pretty amazing set.

Doves in John Peel were a cracking watch and the White lies were strong too. Anyone know where I can find highlights of Blur as missed it for Prodigy.

PS. Hotpots were on pretty good form Saturday afternoon. Wigan, Burnley and Rovers flags present but Bolton still got the mention

This wasn't really a musical thread, Bolty, it was for middle-aged wimmin to perv on.

Oops, I posted on this thread. Sorry. :D

did they sing that 'send the buggars back' one?

i love springsteens jersey girl

but not the original

it is all a bit samey

I prefer the Springsteen version too, though I have been called an heretic for saying that.

Saw Neil Young on Sat in Hyde Park, he was fantastic - though I preferred Springsteen at Emirates last year, he's a god.

McCartney joined Neil at the end for an encore (I assumed he'd come on to co-ordinate a minute silence for Jacko what with him being a scouser) and some wag suggested they do The Girl is Mine

And on Sunday, instead of seeing Springsteen, I was on the Green in Thames Ditton watching Curtley Ambrose and Richie Richardson doing a set, starting with a reggae version of Hotel California. Surreal.
