done the right thing in not enforcing the follow on in my opinion. Get a lead of 500, let the bowlers have a good rest then skittle the convicts out. Come on England :drinks:

how shit are we, tail enders pissing on us, no follow on now

Not as shit as the Aussies, wankers

should of made them bat again to be honest

they had to score 210 befor scores were even

poor poor decision

must be the most boring place ever to watch cricket

full of old fuddy duddy wankers

I've just merged the last thread you started with the 2nd test thread FFS.

sorry officer borat

i reckon aussies would have closed today 1 or 2 down with scores level

so, seeing as theyre predicting a bit of cloud over sunday and monday, its a 50/50 call

Apparantly Botham is going mad, thinks we should've enforced it.

I've got TMS on. Ian Chappell came out with a good point. He said you keep your foot on the throat, not take it off.

Personally I think it depends on the weather forecast, pitch & conditions.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say Strauss has done the right thing.

Bat all day today with a good run rate (4-4.5 per over). That'll give our bowlers a rest. Have 30-40 mins at em at end of the day.

If there is a bit of cloud/rain on Sun & Mon then it can benefit our bowlers when we put them in.

He didn't make Windies follow-on in Caribbean and regretted it, so he must have been 100% sure this time that he was doing the right thing.

Reckon a swashbuckling day batting and putting a target of 500 on the board and then we get into them.

No doubt Strauss will be under massive pressure if we don't beat them after today's decision. But I'm backing him to!

2 down,71

Is it just me or do Bopara and Pieterson look like tail-enders out there? Fucking Monty could show them two how to bat at the minute.

They agree with you on TMS, Bopara doing his best to give his wicket away this afternoon

The Aussies will be batting again today with a 400+ target. It's all down to the weather, I don't think the decision to bat again will make much diff. Plus, I think that was done with Flintoff in mind, more time to recover from his injury.

PS I've laid us at 1.57 on BF.

Slog the fuckers!

That was the most boring afternoons cricket I have ever seen.

Better now & a good laugh at Horwich having his hand smacked again.

What do you call an all rounder who can't bat or bowl?

A; Mitchell Johnson

England declared on overnight score of 311-6.

Set them 522 in 186 overs.

Good start from Oz openers, 17-0 3 overs.

It was undecisive looking at the cameras nobody can say for certain. Saying that if an England player was given out for it I would be seething
