July 29, 200916 yr Our friends in the mirror are making the obvious comment that Nicky is on his bike , they reckon on a free surely we could get something for the lad ?? ( & no i'm not a Nicky Hunt hater just happens my user name refers to Roger not Nicky) Don't think Stiensson is that much better than Hunt ..............also what happens to JOB when he's fit ? not midfield surely to god.
August 3, 200916 yr care to expand ?? There is a train of thought that players born in the Bolton area have to be better than players born outside the area to get a game at Bolton because the fans are jealous of local boys made good and make life hard for them. I'm not sure how Julian Darby fits into that though..
August 3, 200916 yr What a load of bollocks. People don't like him because he was generally shite and an arrogant fucker to boot.
August 3, 200916 yr What a load of bollocks. People don't like him because he was generally shite and an arrogant fucker to boot. it definitely comes into play lad used to sit near us, and I've heard the same from fans of other teams with local lads in, always used to give it "i went to school with him and he wasn't even the best in our year" used fert make me laugh that did, just have to point out "aye but he's the only one from your year on the pitch"
August 3, 200916 yr I think the fact he's from Daisy Hill gave him far more latitude with the fans than other players, as they wanted him to do well being the local lad. Fact is though, he was/is a very limited footballer, poor positional sense, gave the ball away far too often and was an aficionado of the Gary Ablett HOOF downfield, more often than not into the stands. Which simply ain't good enough for top flight football. Get rid...

Can't understand this running down of a guy who put in a full shift out of position on the wing against Eindhoven and who hasn't played first team football for a good year. If someone puts in a reasonable offer, he will go and the better that he is playing the more likely we are to get a good price. He put the only two decent crosses of the whole game in on Friday. Some lads are really quite tough in their opinions hiding behind the anonymity of the Internet.

August 3, 200916 yr if you had phil brown showing you how to play full back you'd struggle but the pair of em were part of a couple of uefa seasons
August 3, 200916 yr "Some lads are really quite tough in their opinions hiding behind the anonymity of the Internet." WTF???! Easy, Tiger. It's a personal opinion. One formed after much first-hand viewing, and more about the lad's technical ability, NOT his effort. I just don't think he's good enough at the top level. And the fact that there's not a line of Premiership suitors queueing up for him seems to bear that out...

Main issue for me is that hes not improved, still making the same errors he was when he came into the team
August 3, 200916 yr if you had phil brown showing you how to play full back you'd struggle but the pair of em were part of a couple of uefa seasons I don't know what it is you have against Phil Brown but I happen to know that when he passed his UEFA coaching badges, he did so with the highest marks. That suggests to me that he knows how to coach.

August 4, 200916 yr Hunt had some real shockers, so got stick. That goal he cost us at home v United was a prime example. Fuck me, if a players gets sent off for BWFC I imagine half of you gayers would blame the fucking fans ::
