Are We Expecting A Sell Out For The Testimonial?

E-Mailed the ticket office asking if I could pay for a ticket and contribute, but obviously wouldn't be able to go.

Heres the response

Hello,

There would be other ways for you to contribute to the charities of Jussi?s choice but we would be reluctant to sell you a ticket if we knew you would not be attending. Ring our main reception to see if you can contribute in another way.

Regards

why didn't you just ring up and buy a ticket

and then not go?

How odd.

I wonder if that is an actual policy? In which case I refer you to my "fucking idiots" comment of yesterday.

Was in work so couldn't ring up, thats why I E-Mailed them.

What do you mean by "are we expecting a sell out"? Like adebayor, Lescott, Toure etc?

McGinlay didn't sell out his testimonial so i doubt Jussi will.

How many on for Super Johns? 10,000 ish?

I reckon about 7,000 tomorrow. Max

Yes think it was 10-12000 ish.

I've bought a ticket and may not be able to go now. Will the ticket office put out an APB on me?

And how many will only be there for the legends match?

From memory I seem to remember there being a fair few at Jimmy Phillips testimonial, felt like there were more than 15,000.

If you want to contribute, shove a jiffy bag full of tuppences and th'reppeny bits through the Reebok letterbox and mark it 'For the Goalie'.

Don't put names on, vague, bland, confusion is the name of the game here. If it was good enough for Grobelaar its good enough for us.

They cant take VAT of it then because they dont know which goalie to send the bill to. It could be the Standard Mowers 2nd 11 for all Gordon the One Eyed knows.

Winner.

Wasn't that against Celtic though? Those halfwits will turn up to the opening of a crisp packet!

P.S. I'm still decided so, I wonder if I'll be allowed to travel without a match ticket.

2,000 - 2,500 from Hibs made it a good atmosphere although the match was as dull as any of Megson's other 0-0 draws.

Sean Davis adds no creativity to the midfield,Elmander offered nothing of any quality. All the problems we had in creating chances last season are still there. The only improvement from last season was the performance of Zat Knight. We now have 2 rather than 1 adequate centre half.

Agree with you totally.

And we now have 2 right backs (3 if you include Hunt).

What about having 2 forwards?

Sean Davis was great today. He was dropping back, picking the ball off the back four, moving it wide, playing one-twos. looked the player Kevin Nolan should have been for us. Did an excllent shift at getting the ball back as well. I'd also pick Ricketts ahead of Steinnson just on that performance. Some good link up play between him and Taylor.

Best player on the pitch - step forward Fabrice Muamba - absolutely awesome.

agree muamba was very good ,looked a totally a different player

and if Andy O'Brien had ducked under that cross in the second half, the grief he would have got would have been unbelievable

that said, Knight and Cahill did look good together; Ricketts looked capable, Robinson looked to get forward; Davis slotted in fine in the middle; Muabmba had a good game; Gardener still looks the main threat;

solid enough, just lacking a bit of creativity - Megson knows that and is trying to recruit to get it
