Wanderers V Stoke

Cant argue with that! Megson shouldnt be changing the team for next week after a victory imo.

Stoke could be a different challenge to Portsmouth -I"m not sure K Davies will have the same success , you can"t bully Ab Faye.

With Klasnic,Elmander,Lee,Gardner and S Davis still to come we may be able to pick teams to suit the opposition.

I agree but it's too late for him now, he has run out of easy matches.4 points from an easy start is gash.

He has no chance of going on a winning run with Man Utd away and Chelsea at home in the next 5 .This was his last chance,he fucked it up.

It's only a matter of time now. Those blaming the bedsheet brigade for his sacking are talking crap. Its his poor performances and results that will get him sacked.

They should do the right thing and sack him tomorrow, hopefully there won't be a miserable atmosphere with him managing at the Tottenham home game.

Our performances agaisnt Sunderland and Stoke were a disgrace compared to how Burnley are approaching their home games on a smaller budget.

FFS. Burnley are in the first blush of their new Premiership experience. Seen it over and over again. Come back next April and let's see how they've gone then.

It is you who are talking crap, as ever. He hasn't been sacked yet so who can blame anyone for him being sacked?

The bedsheet brigade were criticised for being the utter mongalongs they were/are. A fcuking embarassment to the town of Bolton.

Sack him tomorrow my arse. Who would you leave at the helm on a temporary basis? No one should be removed until the replacement is lined up. Thank f?ck no one lets you run a business (they don't, do they?).

Richard Sneekes is a white

is a white is a white

Richard Sneekes is a white

He hates Megson

Have Sneekesy as a temp if Davies and Gartside haven't been doing the work on a replacement.

Do you know who Sneekes is with the technology not being as good to broadcast games round the world pre Allardyce?

I hope this isn't a serious suggestion.

So scoring in the 89th minute and defending like fuck for the 5 minutes injury time meant to you we were going for the win perrrrrrrrrrrrrleeeeease.

So you honestly think that Megsons plan was to play for a draw yesterday. You are deluded

I've stood by him so far, but his days must surely be numbered now.

His position is almost untenable.

Said it after Sunderland his position is untenable lets just pray the board don't leave it too long to get someone in and give them best chance to keep us up and who knows even finish up the table:

- You can win premiership games playing decent footballers

- attacking players can make the difference lower down the league they don't have to be worth millions and millions

- we can get back to an enjoyable matchday experience and start building some terrace heros including the manager

Megson is like a prison sentence now, highly unpleasent and just counting the days until it's over...........

sorry remind what division leeds, southampton and charton are in?

in fact by the end of next season southampton could easily be fighting to stay in the football league!!!!

Been watching Wanderers since '76 and after reading WW for several years now feel compelled to write for the first time. This thread sums up perfectly where Megson has taken the club in the last 2 years - for sure we may still be hanging on to Premership status but that counts for nothing given the "civil war" he has managed to create. I've never known/seen/heard any club that is now in our position. Loyal supporters are torn between blind eternal faith for the club and the desire for short-term failure to trigger a change of manager. Its an absolute tragedy to see the position we are now in. Whichever side of the divide we're at there surely can be only one place this will end. Megson has to go sooner or later regardless of results on the pitch - these alone can no longer bring unity. The wounds between club and the majority of fans cannot be healed until this happens. Whether this means relegation or not is no longer the point. The one thing I've always treasured about following the whites has been the passion and unity - these have now gone but I'm sure can and will soon return when he goes. His interviews on SSN and BBC were nothing short of an absolute disgrace.

And no, I'm not a fickle fan - Darlington home and Orient/Southend Boxing Day trips are on the CV.

Excellent 1st post, just about sums up how I feel, a sad state of affairs.

remind me where wigan fulham and westham finished last season having changed manager recently - if you think megson is that good go and watch the next club he lands at we're on the up as soon as he goes - glass half full.

so the black and white gamble is swap what we have for wigan type success or southamption type success.

now i consider myself a gambling man, but there not a fuckin chance something i would like to put my money on.

Me... Stupid? as if....

I actually believe that on paper, our side is as good as ever...

 so you think this team is better than the one that had the likes of Okocha, Youri and Hierro in

There's plenty in between fulham and southampton - you're obviously a cautious type fair play but there has to be a breaking point - if it's pontoon we're sat with 2 fucking 2's for christ sake TWIST!!

Have you been taking LSD again?

Defensively yes, going forward probably not

 so you think this team is better than the one that had the likes of Okocha, Youri and Hierro in

The likes of implies there were more of that ilk, please name them.

Youri and Hierro weren't at the club at the same time, I think your memory is playing tricks with you and your memories of Big Sam's Galacticos has masked this fact and the one that Hierro was mainly shit.

They may not have been in the same side but with each of them we still had a better team than we do now...Anelka, Nolan, Nakata to name a few more...

Nakata was poor and Nolan fat and useless since about 2003. Again, your memory is playing tricks on you. Who next, Quinton Fortune, Lord Kangana, Oscar Perez?

Nakata was poor and Nolan fat and useless since about 2003.

Nakata may not have played as well as he could have but he had more quality than any of the midfielders we have now..and i dont agree with you on Nolan

Fuck all that now, I'm waiting for Crocodile Bolty's response to the Sneekes question.

::lol::

Nakata may not have played as well as he could have but he had more quality than any of the midfielders we have now..and i dont agree with you on Nolan

Technically Nakata was superb indeed, unfortunately he wasn't suited to this division. As he then retired aged 28 maybe he just wasn't committed either? It's just a reputation, he provided little or nothing for us. Players like Ian Marshall contributed more to this club despite having almost no quality.

You are probably on your own on Nolan, that's why he doesn't play in the Premier League anymore despite only being 27. He was celebrating scoring against bottom of the Championship Plymouth Argyle yesterday. Good luck to him.

Fuck all that now, I'm waiting for Crocodile Bolty's response to the Sneekes question.

Oi, country bollocks, you can drop the crocodile bit reet now, reet? ;)

I have read Knobheads question a couple of times and am pondering whether to answer or whether that might just encourage more of its inane ramblings.

Not sure what its getting at. Does it think we don't get the North West Masters series down here?

It confuses me :D

Megson took over with us rooted to the Bottom and then kept us up and improved the league postion the year after, so with that in mind he most be a better option the McLesh... just say like

Oh and for the attcking football they've on scored 3 goal in 6 games as we've scored 6 in 5 ...sorry for using facts again :pardon:

There s only one fact that im interested in and that s points on the board so time will tell .

Nakata may not have played as well as he could have but he had more quality than any of the midfielders we have now..and i dont agree with you on Nolan

I see the clown car as arrived from Newcastle

i think thats part of the problem. people seem to have selective memories aboiut how good it used to be.

i remember sam getting stick because of the style, but the fans kinda put up with with him because it got results.
