Ok i have a problem my son came home and asked for a liverpool shirt for his birthday i am shocked , i think i am to blame for not taking him to many games over the last few years.

As i live in wales i just drive to the ground and park on the car park , but as it takes ages to get out i dont bother going to many gmes anymore.

So my question is am i better parking somewhere else and getting the train to the ground , both my kids wear the colours and i dont want this to change ffs.

Not sure when you last went but its not as bad as it was of couple of years back.

Are you related to a certain Landlord in Penrhynside ?

Got it......he is three weeks to late, he should have posted this before the Liverpool game and he was confused where to park, plus his kids had there LIVERPOOL colours on so he did not want any trouble Any more offers?

He lives in N Wales, where most kids "support" Liverpool.

 

Rob doesn't get to enough games, because he's pissed off at how ong it takes to get away from the ground after the game.

 

Because he's stopped coming: his kids now want Liverpool shirts like their mates wear.

 

He wants them to still support Bolton, but the only that this will happen is if he starts bringing them back to the Reebok, so he wants sensible suggestions on the best places to park that are easy to get away from.

 

 

Read his post properly and stop jumping to conclusions.

Plus getting away from the reebok is no worse than most clubs. At least you can park next to the ground.

Thanks Traf , its not 20 mins in the car park its more like an hour sometimes because i dont get to the ground untill late hence the the places to prak for a quick exit are gone.

As for my kids supporting Bolton its a must but its hard around here as everyone is an everton liverpool or united fan.

All i ask was a simple question of if there is a better place to park than the ground so i can get home before 8 at night.

Parking on Chorley New Road and walking down is probably quickest if you live in bolton, parking on the A6 means you're not queing to get away but by the time you've walked to your car it's not really any quicker.

 

the reebok is a ballache to get away from regardless of how you travel.

 

parking on the reebok is probably the quickest car park to get out of although it's fecking expensive

No excuses. I live in frodsham and my dad managed to keep me a wanderer! not many of them in my class i tell thee. AND we were in the lower reaches at this point!

 

Train is the best way imo. chester - manchester pic then manchester pic to horwich parkway. they you do not need to change platforms at manchester too so if your lucky its free!

Theres parking on a field next to the top roundabout on the A6, only ?2 and eventhough there is a 15ish minute walk back to it you can get straight off down the motorway.

Theirs loads of places along Chorley New Road and the roads leading off it.

 

Only takes 10 or 15 minutes to walk to the ground.

 

Its got to be worth it to save your kids from a life time as a glory hunting football supporter.

6.45 is by car parked up and sat in the ship with a pint. Train is a pain in the arse unless youre making a day of it, if you miss the connection at Piccadilly its 10 clock before you get back.

If you park at The Watergate pub, just by Junction 4 of the M61, there's a matchday bus just after 2pm straight to the ground.

This same bus will get you back to Junction 4 by 5.10pm after the game.

Park for nowt in the road (Lynstock Way) by the Bromilow, pop in for as pint, jobs a good un. 10 min walk tops.

Just park in the Bromilow car park for nowt and have a pint of Pippin en route while the kids dick about in the play area. Everyones a winner.
