Well I've heard good and bad things about the town really, but would like to see for myself.

 

For a gang of lads, ring up the Norbreck Castle. don't know if they still do deals but we've been a couple of times from work; ?30 for Christmas dinner, free bar and disco, bed and breakfast. It's not that great a meal but at those prices it'll do. and it's far enough out of the way of central Blackpool to be ok(ish)

Not the best of towns for a punt.If any of the lads fancy one I'd recommend Amber who has ads in the newsagent windows between the train station and the North pier

There is one on the front just past the Central Pier.The only time I have been in the strippers kept their knickers on and stripped guys who were happy to sit on a chair and be humiliated.This was several years ago,unlike the previous info which is current..

I actually take exception at that remark, as I was one of the first to post that Blackpool is a shithole.

 

I haven't forgotten that I was brought up on a rough Farnworth council estate, I just live somewhere a bit nicer now.

I don't have a fancy or new-ish car and I've hardly a pot to piss in. I've been out of work for almost 16 months for one reason or another: I'm no fucking snob: I just don't like Blackpool: I never have done.

I know where I come from and I didn't really enjoy folk vomitting on my shoes or watching gangs of wimmin from Barnsley and Featherstone cat fighting whilst a gang of toffs from Tunbridge Wells dressed as nuns get giddy on their first ever big day out by singing songs about buggering each other then either.

 

Now put me in Tenerife or Hamburg, and I can be as common as the next man. But Blackpool, well, you have to go once in a while to remind yourself why you don't go regularly.

I think, in summary, the thoughts of the board are genaerally of the opinion that Blackpool is a dump, but a good night can be had, as can in Bolton, Wigan, Leigh... (insert most British towns).

Felgate, ignore em, you'll have a good time. As smiths said, go off the beaten track just a little, and you can still have a cracker of a night. I went recently and had a right knees up. Make sure you get to Pepes Bar which is just up Talbot Road, cheap beer and shots all day. Also for good digs Pride Lodge was cheap and cheerful smack in the centre . 01253 314752. No problems with just lads staying here. Friendly owners. Just remembered, Taboo bar was full of minge, and again this is on Talbot road near Pepes.
