Ricardo Gardner

Most Wanderers supporters could see that Bibi was not quite good enough as a left winger soon after he came to the club. Neither does he have the right blend of skills at this level in the Premiership to play in midfield. But when did he have a bad game at left back? When did Paul Robinson or JLS hold down a position in a top eight team at all let alone four years in a row? We have limitations in our squad. Why is Ricardo's ability being ignored? I am bemused.

Trouble is......he's gone

His body lasts a game or two, then it's back physio

Is he injured? I'd have him ahead of Cohen in CM. fac v Spurs (h) was the best midfield performance I've seen for a long time.

i think bolton diver is right, he can have a blinging game, then it takes him 2/3 games to get fit, and i think that is whats keeping him out of the starting XI

He can't trap a ball to save his life so playing him in CM is a big no no from me.

Then at Blackburn he was pants. Cohen is defensively a miles better bet, especially away from home.

muamba

muamba

Touch? Stanley, touch?.

However ricky doen't have muamba's engine or tackling ability

and muamba doesn't have gardners pace, passing or dribbling

to be fair, i'd not play gardner as one of two, either

certainly not with muamba

i just hope gardners time at the club ends without a falling out and with some dignity on both sides

i'm too old for heroes but that bloke is an example to all

Gardner at CM is stooopid.

He's a left sided player. Leave him there.

Full back would be fine by me.

If we are playing Wilshere or Taylor - then Gardner is perfect for overlapping from time-to-time.

Ideal skills for a winger which in my eyes is what Ricky is.

Agree Casino. And I'll never forget his goal at Cardiff in the play off final.

I think that he can still be useful in a cameo 20 min left attacking role when we are chasing a game.

His injuries would have defeated many, and you have to admire his guts as well.

20 minutes at the end

aye, might be ideal

might also be nice if we got told why he's not being selected

surely he's perfect for the bench, ahead of at least one of samuel, aob and steinnson

Dont rate Cohen at all, think he's a poor player. But i wouldnt put Ricky in Midfield...

Ricky is best left back at the club as the first post stated.

If we had roberto carlos or stuart pearce at left back i would nt mind.

I can only assume his latest injuries have cuased serious problems but nothing come out of the club.

Surely some pace on the bench would nt go amiss....

cohen gets through a lot of work and has good discipline. team player and all that shite.

he's not a bad player but needs to offer more of an attacking threat.

still not bad for a bag of peanuts mind.

if Gardner is our best left back, and I ain't saying he's not, then you'd have to say Joey OBrien is our best right back!

if we're basing this on which players in our squad have performed best in that position when called upon

Yes but didn't he force Ribery to change wings when we played FC Marseille away?

No that was Jared Francisco Echavarria Borgetti

was probably the best part of a season if I recall right

I do remember everyone saying he was 10 times better than Nicky Hunt

did RG really play 4 seasons at LB?

there must've been at least 2 knee fuck ups in that time

wouldn't surprise me then if Davies starts in a 5 man midfield

I have a better idea: lets buy a left back, because we havent got one. Or is there a clause in every BWFC managers contract that states "under no corcumstances must you purchase (or loan), any player (old or young), that is capable of 1) controlling 2) passing 3) tackling 4) looking comfortable on the ball with or whilst the ball is on your left side."
