August 13, 201015 yr To help put things in perspective. Where we were going and where we are. WHO WAS THE MANAGER THAT ORIGINALLY BROUGHT THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS TO BOLTON WANDERERS? Player comments are what appear to be the general consensus of opinion of BWFC fans. 1) Gretar STEINSSON - Reasonable R/B with room for improvement. 2) Paul ROBINSON - Seasoned professional ? gives 100%. 3) Gary CAHILL - Potential future full international. 4) Zat KNIGHT - Steady improvement, becoming a V/G C/D. 5) Sam RICKETTS - Reasonable defender at F/B and C/D ? gives 100%. Will improve. 6) Fabrice MUAMBA - Potential future full international. 7) Sean DAVIS - Previous to serious injury, a player of no mean ability. 8] Matt TAYLOR - At his best: quality. Indispensable for set pieces. 9) Chung Yong LEE - Potential future star on world stage. 10) Johann ELMANDER - Has quality, but not lived up to valuation 11) Mark DAVIES - Lots of ability. Will improve. Could become a full international. 12) Ivan KLASNIC - A goal getter, with a footballing brain. 13) Mustapha RIGA - Squad man. Not had enough playing time in the team maybe, to really assess his capabilities at this level. 14) Tamir COHEN - Useful grafter who gets the odd goal or two. 15)Danny SHITTU ? Nigerian international and useful back-up player.

Player comments are what appear to be the general consensus of opinion of BWFC fans. 1) Gretar STEINSSON - Reasonable R/B with room for improvement.MUCH room for improvement 2) Paul ROBINSON - Seasoned professional ? gives 100%. Not up to PL level IMO 3) Gary CAHILL - Potential future full international. 4) Zat KNIGHT - Steady improvement, becoming a V/G C/D. 5) Sam RICKETTS - Reasonable defender at F/B and C/D ? gives 100%. Will improve. 6) Fabrice MUAMBA - Potential future full international. 7) Sean DAVIS - Previous to serious injury, a player of no mean ability. 8] Matt TAYLOR - At his best: quality. Indispensable for set pieces. Form dipped, played during glandular fever without anyone noticing 9) Chung Yong LEE - Potential future star on world stage. 10) Johann ELMANDER - Has quality, but not lived up to valuation. Understatement of the year 11) Mark DAVIES - Lots of ability. Will improve. Could become a full international. Not IMO, won't be anything other than bench player 12) Ivan KLASNIC - A goal getter, with a footballing brain. 13) Mustapha RIGA - Squad man. Nigerian international and useful back-up player. Is nto up to PL level at all I give him much credit for keeping us up twice, bought some very good players as listed above (Cahill, Chungy, Klasnic etc). However, I feel some of your comments are through rose tinited glasses.
August 13, 201015 yr To help put things in perspective. Where we were going and where we are. How does this help put anything into perspective? Indeed, are things actually out of perspective? In what way does this then help define where we are going or clarify where we are? What a very odd post.
August 13, 201015 yr To help put things in perspective What a pointless fucking post edit, Carlos you just beat me to it! Edited August 13, 201015 yr by jules_darby
August 13, 201015 yr and my season eve excitment has just been smashed! Is this some kind of fuckin wind up? If it is- Teves 2 your a prick If it isnt - Teves 2 your a prick
August 13, 201015 yr I will answer my own question... Megson joined in Oct 2007, check out when Tevi joined the site!! Good first post Gary!!!!
August 13, 201015 yr I agree with Cols comments plus OC has given Zat Knight more confidence and that Mark Davies will not be a future full international at very very best an unused call up in a friendly. I also expect this to be the case for Muamba (who is looking very strong currently)
August 13, 201015 yr Megsons downfall was not his signings his ratio of decent signings was far better than allardyces but he didn't have the same financial constraints IMO
August 14, 201015 yr I agree with Cols comments plus OC has given Zat Knight more confidence and that Mark Davies will not be a future full international at very very best an unused call up in a friendly. I also expect this to be the case for Muamba (who is looking very strong currently) I rate Mark Davies highly as a player, and you must do too if you think there is a chance he could become a squad member in the full England team. He plays with a lot of confidence for a lad of his age. I don't like the fact that he is a ManU fan, so he goes down in my estimation here. In fact lets get rid we don't want vermin around the place and I hope he gets a painful disease and his balls drop off. Edited August 14, 201015 yr by Zozzy
August 14, 201015 yr Thank fuck this wasn't some drivel about soldiers at an airport and little crying girls! Re: the original post. What a full on wankstain to WanderersWays. You have tarnish the board with this nonsense you have thunk up. Do the right thing and ensure that you posting on this site was a one off anomoly. Best regards,
August 20, 201015 yr Oh dear, he's kicked his toys out of the pram now. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/8342964.Megson_hits_out_at_Bolton_Wanderers/?ref=mr
August 20, 201015 yr Oh dear, he's kicked his toys out of the pram now. http://www.thebolton...nderers/?ref=mr i like this bit ?Now, I read things about the style of football not being what people wanted. Well, I thought it was good. They wanted more entertaining football, but Bolton now score 50 per cent less goals. They haven?t scored in two thirds of the games they?ve played since I left. i just hope the fans never turn on coyle like they did on megson. if they do, we are fucked. August 21, 201015 yr Megson lost it when he started slagging the fans off 'collectively' when there were still many who could see what he was trying to achieve. Folk who stood up and confronted fellow Bolton fans in the stands on a regular basis. Ugly on the pitch, ugly in the stands. Zero interaction with the fans young and old, a terrible environment created by his miserable fucking face and miserable fucking attitude. Had he not done that then you never know what might have happened. But he did, and that makes him denser than a 3 day old pan of lobby. Oh and he was fucking clueless in that Hull game, when they brought on a couple of OAP's who ran us ragged - the final straw for me. I had half a cup of pity for him but he's still droning on about it like a bitter old man who's only really a legend in his own front room so fuck him.
August 21, 201015 yr He made some good signings .... Cahill, Muamba etc but his PR skills were fuckin non existant. He comes across as a bitter and vindictive cunt when he is interviewd about Bolton. Fuck him
August 21, 201015 yr The people who revolted in the stands against Megson when others would 'see how it goes' will be the heroes in this Club's medium-term history.
