You can make generalisations about what minorities in this country have got their feet under the table of which sort of industries.

 

Indians run the corner shops and newsagents

Poles build things or carry stuff about

Chinese do chip shops

Jews run the banks and lend money

Gypsies sell pegs

Blacks have drugs and muggings (joke, before you start)

 

But today I saw one I'd never seen before - a Pakistani ice cream man, with full Islamic dress and hefty beard. I'd love to know the story behind how that came to be.

 

Another strange one - I've only ever seen white Downs Syndrome sufferers and only ever seen whites on Jeremy Kyle.

i was in chorley town center over the xmas period a few years ago and was alarmed to come across a santa that though his guise was indeed related to our asian friends!! a pakistani santa!

They usually have an extra chromosome that forms the characteristic for their appearance and mental development. Although put every person with DS together and you would soon realise they're all very individual.

Mate of mine reckons you never see a black milkman. I dont get what he's driving at, but I don't think I have ever seen one.

Super duper fact with hundreds and thousands on top.

 

Towns like Leigh, Wiggin, St Helens remain(ed) predominantly white (with some post WW2 east european influence such as the Ukrainians) because the first generation migrant asians and blacks couldn't/wouldn't work the pits.

 

They were more suited to the mill towns of Preston, Bolton, Burnley etc which might be a reason why they are overrun with them now.
