Blackburns Attendance

Can any one tell me how Blackburn can get thousands more fans than us for a shite game against Wigan, than us against an attractive Spurs team, are they giving tickets away or are there merchandising team that much better than ours, I can't fathhom how they got that crowd in yesterday.

yeah but big e's a cunt so his opinion can be discounted, the welsh JCL!

if only i could pay ?49 for a season......

im past worrying about attendances these days.

im there so thats all that matters to me.

You fucking should they never check anyway you nonce!

went on Chorley after the game yesterday, plenty of Wanderers fans there. Got chatting to a couple and they dont bother with Reebok anymore.

Its difficult to see a way to get our gates any better.

Bburn used to average alot less before they started doing ST at ?200, may be the only answer. Got to better than giving tickets away in ASDA.

yes, but the point is, they are regularly getting 4000 more home fans than us

I know. That's what I ended my reply with

They also won the premier league once, am sure that helped boost their numbers at the time and got people going who didn't before

Would like to think if we won the pl at some point we too would have a sustained boost to our average attendance

Wouldn't bet on it though

Me too

And that's why the likes of west ham think success and what not is relative to big followings can fuck right off

Did find it chucklesome that the half empty spurs section was singing about how shite our support was.

We had 17000 Bolton fans on for a dinner time kick off for a game showing in every pub in the land against a club who are not famous anymore.

I could think of worse things to worry about.

Thought 3500 was quite good as it was on tv, they've got further to come and champs league trips to occupy them - there was prob more than our last 5 trips to WHL combined

Oddly ebough my Yid mate was telling me that away end was full of northerners. turns out they've got loads of yorkies follow them who they picked up on the back of their successful stint under bill Nicholson

for a team like bolton it was a pretty decent following, but as spurs fans constantly harp on about how big they are, you'd at least expect them to sell out their allocation even if they don't fill the entire stand like the other big sides do.

We have also probably had more live home games than Blackburn.

the one I know doesn't, quite the opposite, he was a season ticket holder all his life till moving up north earlier this year but he's not one of the that talks it up and doesn't go

the ones you're talking to probably don't go that much (but that's the same for any club, utd fans, liverpool fans, everton fans etc, thems that go, know, thems that don;t balloon on about shit like followings and that)

at end of the day, they sold 3.5k ish, which till we started letting every team have the south stand who want it, was as many as they could have or there abouts

aye, they brought less than liverpool did that week, but they're only 30 miles away, and let's be honest, they;re not as big

chelsea haven't sold out the whole 5k when it's been on offer

don't recall arsenal doing it either last season, but that was on tv too

they took 6000 to inter milan or there abouts, but only about 3000 had tickets

That's all fairly true.

but I still think it's a bit rich to be slating the turn out of an oppositions fans when yours is nothing to shout about.

that point you made would've correct, in my opinion, had it been us mocking them for not filling the south stand, and not vice versa

again

all things considered

spurs have a good following considering they never win owt these days

just saying like, but they do, 3.5k on a sat at 12.45 is pretty good given, apart from the yorkies in attendance, it's 200 miles away, and have "better" games coming up on their fixture list to attend - they even sell out at home every week and it costs something like ?70 a match down there for the big games, if not more

bit rich? christ we mock wigan's 16k home attendances and here we are banging on about why ours is so shit

we still took 4k to munich though

etc
