Does anyone know why they only had bottom tier??

Surely there is just as much chance of someone falling down the stairs on the way up to the seats in the first place. This country has gone mad on H&S

I appreciate what folk are saying, but, if the upper tier is steeper and more dangerous, how did we get a safety certificate in the first place? It was built for football supporters who everyone knows stand up at matches.

 

It just doesn't work like that, not everyone, for example my 69 year dad, wants to stand up for the full 90 mins

 

You could say Bwfc are doing their bit by turning a blind eye to lower tier standing, the stewards certainly don't enforce it like they used to

 

But they have to draw the line somewhere, ie upper tiers, as it's just not worth the risk to them

 

Thems the rules, Bwfc didn't make them

It's hard to throw troublesome folk out of the upper tier.

 

If their fans cause problems on frequent occasions then the police are going to do things to make their life easy.

I asked a steward why no upper tier he said the toon had'nt sold out. Think Health & Safety is a more credible if daft reason.

Can they not just close the front 5 rows of the upper, if anyone falls from row 6, they arent likely to die.

 

Or put up bigger barriers at the front.

 

Whatever we need to do, needs to be done. We are over ?90m in debt and cant afford to not sell as many tickets as possible.

 

Or the other way round it is to make sure we sell nearly every seat (apart from a couple) in the north lower to season ticket people.

 

When we play the teams who stand and therefore reduce our matchday income, sell their tickets at ?45 each to make up for lost revenue.

we are doing, it's the geordies and munichs that need to sit down, if they want full allocations, they'll have to change their ways (I hate to say it, but they have to sit down in the upper tiers!)

 

one of the reasons, or certainly what used to be the reason for Utd fans always standing was that most of them had forged tickets so there weren't enough seats for everyone

 

it's only 2 games a season at the moment - Newcastle and Man U

 

Stoke, Blackpool, Liverpool etc, they all get the lot if they want it

 

if we're being made to restrict them, our hands are tied

 

the club are doing all they can to shift tickets, for the likes of the Blackburn at home (?15)

 

the fans need to do their bit, both home and away
