Malaga V Athletico on sky later, should be a decent game.

but can any of you older folks name me a better side you've seen in your lifetime, especially football style wise.

I don't think there is one.

On saying that, I've watched them play quite a few times this season and probably coz I'm not as ardent a fan as you, their

games can bore me at times, because they seem to be so one sided.

a few years back, liverpool did forest 5-0

only saw it on sportsnight, but that was as good as it gets

Man United during the 90's.

Don't say any of you didn't even consider it.

Friday night at Elm Park, a few of their lads came in the away end because it was cheaper but got scuttled out when they scored.

Arsenal with Pires, Viera, Ljungberg, Bergkampf and Henrie for me.

Went to the Nou Camp, 42,000 on, 10,000 brits, 10,000 old women knitting, load of shit. Chris Musampa scored for Malaga, that's one for the Xmas thread.

This one?

Haha fuck mop aye, thats the one!!

See their 1st goal after 14 seconds and you see a few lads start moving towards something.

Also, you see our away following? Thats a Friday night following, when we could take thousands up and down the country.

Was at that game

There was a few of them over on the left of our end, they tried to get into their pop end along the side after they scored the 1st

Remember 2 Bolton chants from that game- Shaka for England, after he spilled a cross for our 1st goal and then "let's get ready to tumble" in ant and dec stylee for John dreyer. He was bobbins

Saw a sole reading fan walk into the Bolton support and get knocked out with one punch after the game, you know those punches where you hear the crack and their head snaps back...naughty boys

I was there too: happy days.

And I still say the one they "cleared off the line" went in. That was our only defeat in the last 20-odd games of the season I think.

Agreed - that was a f00king amazing performance. Can distinctly remember Steve Sutton in the Forest nets laughing as he was picking the ball out of the onion bag - kind of like "what the f*ck am I expected to do against this???"

i think it was the team that houghton played in

that was the best i saw of liverpool, even better than their late 70s team

best performance agaionst liverpool would be us in the cup :)

Dident you lose to Tramere that year as well or was that another year?

The Liverpool team that day (courtesy of some swift googling):

Bruce Grobbelaar, Gary Gillespie, Gary Ablett, Steve Nicol, Nigel Spackman, Alan Hansen, Peter Beardsley, John Aldridge, Ray Houghton, John Barnes, Steve McMahon

Have to admit to feeling slightly disappointed to find Ablett in the stellar scouse (bstard) line-up... :o

drew 2-2 with them equalising in the last minute to rob us of the extra 2 points to get 100

you'd have thought they won, tbh

when you think of some of the players they had ovger the years, that doesn't look over special

but then if you're on top, houghton, barnes and beardsley could make a bit of a mess of anybody
