Espanyol V Barthelona

Featured Replies

Just read a bit about their history, Espanyol really do hate Barca with a passion whilst Barca just look at them as nothing.

Anyway Diddles, did you see your man Messi spunk that open goal about 4 yards high?

Bagowank.

I did, Barca are toying with 'em. Could be more than 2-0, I see a couple of the Espanyol players are trying to maim Messi with some dirty tackles.

There is a gulf between them but could easily have been going in at 2-1 too but for a great save.

Anyway, Air Crash Investigations is on now.

2 goals in a couple of minutes, now 3-1 to Barca, cracking game this :good:

grooming.

Decent game, 4 now!

I do wonder though, how Barca would deal with a big powerfull midfield, who like to dish it out.

David Villa doesn't miss those.

Barca have gotten through one on one loads of times, Villa this time again to make it 5-1.

That's a grim programme that is,

What's the story with iniesta?

I only saw a glimpse but it seemed like every man in the stadium applauded him off???

Fair play to him, then.

This Barca team are the best footballing team I have ever seen, don't think a physically strong team would get near enough to put a challenge in. You have to respect the Espanyol fans for keeping the faith living under the shadow of Barca, think I will check out the history and mind set of the Espanyol fans, just love fans who stick with a team when they are completely over shadowed by there nearest rivals.

Did Captain Thain get the blame for the crash?

I've only been walking with dinosaurs for 23 years and I have to say Barca are by far the best team I have ever watched, I've been to the Bernabeu, but never to the Nou Camp, it must be great to see such football week in week out.

They are a beatable side, as lowly Hercules proved at the beginning of the season, but can any of you older folks name me a better side you've seen in your lifetime, especially football style wise.

I think AC Milan who won the Champions League in 1989 and 1990 were better. It was unthinkable for them to not win at the time.Great Italian defenders and great Dutch forwards in that team.

Bolton 96/97:

4 defeats (3 of which were away) in a 46 game season.

100 goals,

98 points,

total football at its finest.

As your w?nking on about them is becoming tiresome, without trying, I can think of 5 teams I have enjoyed watching at least as much as the current Barcelona side. I'll let you do the research based on these team members:-

Puskas, Kocsis, Hidegkuti.

Rial, Gento, Di Stefano.

Ferrara, Careca, Maradona.

Jairzinho, G?rson, Tostao, Rivelino, Clodoaldo.

Hulme, Lennard, Bromley.

Without the power of Google, who put us out of the FA Cup and who was the home league defeat to?

Can't remember the FA Cup without cheating, but I do know Ipswich beat us 2-1 at home.

And now I've looked, I really should have remembered the Cup defeat!

chesterfield (davies) and ipswich?

going for ipswich as in the depths of my mind they tarnished our pre christmas post match sup one year
