Investments

Anyone got any advice on a healthy investment return for ?25,000.

I'm currently looking into splitting the money either side of the current tax year with 50% into an ISA and 50% into a stocks and shares ISA.

Therefore it'll look like:

2010

?5,100 - ISA

?5,100 - Stocks and Shares ISA

?4,120 - High interest savings account

2011

?5,340 - ISA

?5,340 - Stocks and Shares ISA

I'm quite nervous about investing into something too risky, so looking to see what anyone else does with their savings and their good/bad experiences with investments.

Cheers

I've just reread your message

Bear in mind I'm still pissed

But if you get to the buy page and you're receiving the countdown to buy then you're registared to buy and sell shares

You create a login and a password

That allows you to look at shares and add to your portfolio but you can't buy or sell

Goto www.iii.co.uk Click 'My Account' at the top of the page

You'll then see a list of options e.g. Share Dealing, ISA, Fund, etc

Click the Share Dealing Log On icon and a window should open which will ask you for 1 - USERNAME 2 - PASSWORD 3 - Third piece of info you'll have registered such as Mother's maiden name, place of birth, first school etc. If you can sign in there then you can trade

If not, you're not registered to trade

Yes I can do all of the above I' will have a go tonight, I dont have much to start off with, but enough to get going!!

Have you thought about investing in my pyramid scheme :D :D

People did and got ripped off, the first in make money and the rest get screwed over - greed does crazy things to people. I seem to remember some bird from the Apprentice who got caught on BBC Watchdog for setting them up.

Get on BEM!

My mother did with some other wimmin. It was one of them empowerment things! :D Hanyhow, she said it was all a bit bizarre. Took place in the back rooms of pubs where other wimmin used to turn up with bags of money in carrier bags & give it to them.

Thing is, she made a fair bit on it.

Book early as Mr. Pontin used to say. :good:

You could do a lot worse than listen to Mr Widders!! he knows his onions

Indeed, I doubled my money on 3 weeks, after taking his advice !

Well I am, I've just transferred a few pennies in and I'm rather excited about it, especially the South African mine :)

I've decided to follow widders advice for and bought 500 quid in each. Let's hope for the best

Anyone who wants to take a gamble and is willing to take a hit if it doesn't work out

RKH halfway through an appraisal well

RISK/Reward makes it a good buy

oh my god

i suppose now is a good time to be buying shares,Middle eastern kick offs and the Jap earthquake keeping a lot of prices down.

I'm still in Gulf keystone petroleum myself, and it's taken a bit of a bashing lately - they've still got a lot of oil though. :pardon:

RKH could be an interesting one as Garp says.

You where crashing your car on a drive through and wearing knitwear on holiday not 2 years ago, now your giving investment tips, think that's what he's getting at.

I have advanced in life and now have a large share portfolio that I run in my spare time whilst at uni. and Knitwear on holiday??

For the record

I'm not a financial advisor

I don't read stock message boards

I have no financial qualifications

I gamble on what I think will make money

I do not have any inside info

Chaps, this is getting out of control

The 3 tips were my opinions of what will make money over the next couple of months

DO NOT INVEST MONEY THAT YOU CANT AFFORD TO LOSE

I shant be posing anymore tips as they are just my opinions

Anybody who inested in CRND sell at 3.00, anybody who was in WET sell at .90

I dispair at times, there's no such thing as free money

As long as people treat it as a bit of fun that's fine, if they go greedy then I've no sympathy. Smart people don't splash money they can't afford to lose.
