Probably be Bogdan tomorrow, but if Jussi does play, or indeed the next league match, he will make the fantastic achievement of surpassing Roy Hartle's 499 club appearances and by the end of the season, he could lie in 7th on all time Wanderers appearances, above Paul Jones (506) and the late great Sir Nat Lofthouse (503). I think every fan of the Club would agree, it's a fantastic achievement for a modern day footballer to show the loyalty he has in his 14 years with the Club. For all his flaws, he has come on a great deal over the years and is obviously proud to be a Wanderer!

 

How about sharing some of his more colourful stories and try to keep away from his grumpiness / shortcomings?

There's a Hall of Fame Suite at the Reebok attached to the Lofthouse Suite. The walls are adorned with the members of the Hall of Fame.

Did not realise Warwick Rimmer was in the 500 plus club he served BWFC from 1960-75 he must have seen more changes than virtually any Bolton player as he joined us after the 58 cup final and stayed loyal through probably one of the worst period of decline in Boltons history. I don't think I saw Warwick play, can anyone enlighten me as to what type of player and character he was and why he stayed such a long time.

They were talking about him on Talkshite the other day. They reckon he's one of the main reasons Tranmere are still in business as he's brought through all the players they've sold on over the last decade.

He never seemed to jump for the ball, but he always won the header.

Your forgetting about Peter Shilton, played 1005 league games. I know he only played one game for us against Stoke City away, but he had a blinder.

Possibly. There's still a business of that name in Bolton. As for him as a player, you may well be right, I was only a kid at the time, although I remember him having a 'mare at Walsall with us 3-0 down at half time. After the game Walsall fans stood on the bridge over the railway line and lobbed bricks at the train carrying visiting fans as it left the station.

For sheer memory it has to be the 2 pen saves against the dingles but best performance I've seen him was away to hull 0-1 he was in a foul mood that day!

Warwick Rimmer was a good honest solid wing half and a fine captain. He never let Bolton down. He used to get stuck in and come away with the ball. He seemed to get a lot of head injuries and often had to go off for treatment reappearing with a bandage round his head. It was often said that he couldn't play unless he had his head bandaged. His uncle was Ellis Rimmer who was a good player for Sheffield Wednesday well before my time.
