March 13, 201115 yr Aye, whoever we play in the final, we won't be expected to win, we can win of course, but if we don't, at least we have Europe again. 5th place in the League is now the only chance to get in the Europa League, I bet Liverpool fans ain't happy Just been reading some other club forums and the majority of people want Bolton through, they really don't wanna see Stoke and their negativity in a final and in Europe, some saying it doesn't look good for our country. I hope it's Man City in the final, they looked ordinary against Reading.

March 13, 201115 yr Aye I'm pretty sure I heard mentioned somewhere that from this season the European place moves down the league rather than to the losing finalist. Same as League Cup.
March 13, 201115 yr Author http://www.telegraph...s-Football.html Not sure the losing finalist get a place anymore. well sky sports saying that they do so that will do for me
March 13, 201115 yr Gareth Southgate mentioned on the TV that Bolton or Stoke have a great chance of being in Europe next season simply by getting to the final.
March 13, 201115 yr I read if the winner qualifies for the Champions League then the runner up is in the Europa, if the winner are already in the Europa then the place goes to the league. Oddly, if we lose to City then we play the in the league on the last day so it's in our best interest to lose. That can't be right.

March 13, 201115 yr Also if that scenario was the case, would the players lose on purpose, could we get done by the F.A? I bet it would cause a lot of discussion throughout the country.
