Got to disagree. Was at the game so only seen them from 1 angle but they all looked good strikes to me. Huths was always bending and hit the sidenetting.

 

If you're looking for a scapegoat for today Jussi should be way down the list

I can defend him as much as I like. My opinion is just as valid as yours. In fact probably more so as you clearly have personal issues which leave you with an irrational dislike for the man.

 

I'd love you to share with us what in your learned opinion he did wrong as your understanding of the finer points of goalkeeping is I'm sure considerable.

1st goal - Robinson

 

2nd goal - Jussi

 

3rd goal - Petrov, Jussi did absolutely nothing except try and look big, didn't even move left for Jones's effort. Oh and Robinson for backing off, not getting close and letting Pennant simply get inside, Cahill and Knight leaving Jones free and onside.

 

4th goal - Elmander and Jussi

 

5th goal - All of the defence.

Jay is fucking loving the fact the rest of us are pissed off. However, you can't defend Jussi, you just can't. They had 6 shots, 58 minutes until he made a save! The Huth goal, he shinned it and Jussi had a clear view. But we didn't score and Robinson gifted them one so ultimately I blame him.

Nobody but nobody can come out of that game, those wearing a Bolton shirt, with any credit. Errors all over the pitch and players just not wanting to get involved. The whole team were at fault.

Their wingers were the complete opposite to ours, up for it and causing problems.

The third, or was it fourth, had little or no impact. People slate Holdsworth for missing a chance - he didn't choose to do that. Robinson chose to pass across our 18 yard box, you don't do that at any level.

Did Klasnic touch the ball except give it away once and a low middle of goal shot from outside the box?

 

With Holden, we might have still lost, but we would have gained at least some passion and effort from one player.

Hang on guys. I've only seen them live but Huth did shin it but it was always bending away from him which makes it bloody hard to save. The third he was faced with a forward 5 yards out. There is no time to react.

 

I've no particular love for or against Jussi but unjustified criticism from people who know sod all about goalkeeping annoys me.

 

It's a cheap shot to have a go at a goalkeeper who is left horrifically exposed by his defense.

 

How long before someone blames his for the first goal because he didn't shout to Robinson when it was obvious he was about to play a suicide pass.

 

It was a terrible performance from everyone almost without exception. To pick out one person is unfair.

Jussi was shite, should have save Huth's and Walters IMO, was no where near at all, the Huth one didn't look like good goalkeeping technique, and the Walters strike, Jussi kind of arced his body, when if he was fully straight his hand would have got to it IMO.

 

We dealt with Delap's throw-ins, but we completely gifted them the win, whilst also playing like absolute shite amateurs.

Do you need to be Peter Shilton to know he should have got something on three shots from outside the box? I've seen enough football to know a good goal from a poor one, I don't need to analyse foot position, balance, angles etc. to know that.

Footballers like you and I every day make mistakes or don't perform to their optimum.

 

As a collection of individuals they all under performed today. Whether there is an underlying reason for that we will never know. I do wonder if the whole Nat thing and the added pressure around that had an effect. It shouldn't have as they should all be able to cope with pressure.

 

Maybe I'm just looking for excuses as there does not appear to be any rational explanation for such a collectively dire performance.

Quite the opposite carlos. I'm very depressed about it all tbh and even had to deal with some gobby plate making prick pushing my seven year old boy which has made me realise I don't need this shit anymore

Don't think you can just blame Robinson, or Jussi. We were appalling all over the pitch. Lumping long balls to no one in particular and then going AWOL when they had possession. No team should ever win a semi-final of a major cup competition that easily.

New level of shitness today, it made a mockery of the FA Cup.
