14th. Worse than megsons last season. 5 defeats on a row. RElegation form since Xmas. Away form farcical. Coyle - you are not as good as you think you are.

  • now you're a bright bloke, granted you must be approaching the onset of senility, but why oh why does it always have to be llike this   folk look at what coyle has done and in some cases criticise s

Anyone who doesnt think we have improved as a club and a team and havent enjoyed this season more than the last 3 wants their head testing and them who dont give coyle credit for that can fuck off and support sheffield wednesday if they want to don't patronise BWFC fans who are rightly happy with what coyle has done this season by making out they are just blinded by his enthusiasm he's a young manager and learnng but he is very talented and has a lot more about him than just enthusiasm - yes its been a very poor couple of months dropping to 14th is not good but in what was such a tight season we'd have got relegated under megson IMO we won more points going for it than we lost but I think coyles motivational skills werent enough to maintain top 10 and in the end our lack of class in certain areas and poor squad depth caught up with us - this summer is huge for the club and I'm sure coyle will bring in the right players and will have learnt from the mistakes he's made this season

so opinions dont count?

I'm sure coyle will bring in the right players

why?

and will have learnt from the mistakes he's made this season

why?

if we had the same season and just changed the sequence people would feel different.

definitely....but

so opinions dont count?

yes aslong as they are the same as mine.................seriously yes they do but it just winds me up supporters making out this season's been shite it could have been bettr for sure but surely it's been better than the last 3 and coyle deserves credit for that and not because so called clueless fans think he walks on water but becuase he genuinely does he's done a cracking job so far taking the club forward from where it was what more can he do?

why?

His track record in the transfer market has so far been very good - petrov slightly aside although i think he's has had more flack than deserved

why?

He's a bright lad

I grimace reading garbage like this. Other fans from other clubs see this make judgements about our club based on absolute dogsh!t like this.

I really get the impression that he must crave defeats and heavy losses so he can have a good old fight with his keyboard again.

Embarrassing.

has this season been better? take wembley away? Im JAL :good:

he's signed the excellent holden

he's signed wheater who he thinks is worse than knight

he's signed alonso, who is worse than me

he's signed petrov

two cracking loan signings from the big4

a why did he bother loan in rodrigo

if he's so bright, he'd have come up with something different for away games

Wembley aside without a doubt for me i genuinely cant fathom how any supporters who go regular can say it's not been better than last 3 season but as you say each to their own

he's signed the excellent holden

Do you think he's the right man to take the club forward next season?

We deserved better than 14th, we have been without Holden for quite a few games, Chung yong missed a couple of months, Mark Davies has had an injury hit season Sean Davies not played at all, Muamba been carrying an injury for a good few weeks, today we had 4 central midfielders out, any club, even Utd would struggle with that, Petrov has been a disaster, Klasnic has had his troubles and although can score goals we cannot carry him. In short we are in a transitional phase and have one of the lowest budgets in the premier league, if any one thinks that 14th is not a reasonable achievement with the budget and injuries we have had they are not being realistic.

Do you think he's the right man to take the club forward next season?

irrelevant as he's the only bloke going to get the chance

we got results when needed. take away the blackpool goal that davies scored has there benn a massive switch football wise? Has much really changed apart from we have a manger who played for us who we like?

irrelevant as he's the only bloke going to get the chance

True but I was interested in your opinion being a significant critic of coyle on here

Hope 14th makes gives us an easy target next season.

And beating 46 point will be an improvement.

Whether either are possible is very debatable.

He's gonna have to pull a couple of massive rabbits out of his hat.

ok, what is 'taking us forward'

we still play direct because SKD is in the team and we'd be fools not to so yes but we do mix it up more now and we chase 3 points or more goals instead of protecting a point or a lead I can understand why budding football managers can critcise that tactic based on it being a results business but personally I've enjoyed the entertainment of it and agree with coyles philosophy wanting to entertain the fans who have paid good money to come and watch the team slightly romantic stance but one i agree with.

The fact he played for us and he is generally well liked shouldn't be levelled as a criticism or somehow him gaining undeserved support he has worked hard at galavanising the club to me thats a genuine achievment that was much needed after the farcical nature of megsons reign - the fans are the, if not one of the most important elements of any club and the fact coyle trys to nuture a good relationship with his is how it should be we shouldnt forget how grim it was from that point of view under megson

The margins are fucking tiny, success and failure are so close.

For me....Mid table, winning a few away, gaining the odd big scalp at home and a cup run.....

ok, what is 'taking us forward'

More than 46 points or higher than 14th or both and a squad in place that can be built on over the next 3 seasons or so

My concern is coyle seems as oblivious to our form as some on here.....

If as it appears we are so heavily reliant on one player hes got his work cut out this summer

aahhhh, its all falling into place now, completely fuck up at the end of the season and finish 14th with 46 points, then next seasons expectations are to get 47 points and finish 13th

Coyle the genius

I think we have overachieved this season. All the clubs that finished above us have better squads imo and we are no better than Blackburn or Wigan in terms of playing staff. If Blackburn hadn't sacked Allardyce they would have been above us.It will take big money or superb loan signings like Holden, Wilshere and Sturridge to climb the table

Fortunately there is no club as strong as Newcastle coming into the league this season which might make it easier to stay up.

ok, the votes are in

no

i don't think he will

he might keep us up, which i'll live with

I wouldn't be too sure about this. If the bid to buy QPR is successful they will be competing with Man City for the big money buys.
