We've all heard of a fishermans friend (jar of warm worms with a bit of sand for roughage) and fruiterers root (down the middle of a peeled orange) when you need to blow the ballast tanks but this one lasts a bit longer. It is given to oil and gas workers down here when they are going for a long stint on the rigs. 'Offshore Survival Techniques'.
